I happened to be at a party a few weeks ago when the hostess played Low Strung. I had really never heard anything like it. Rather than simply unplugged, it took some of the most recognized rock anthems of the last couple decades to an entirely new level of emotion and genuinely musical mastery. For some, it was like being whisked back in time, to their music roots not in an era or jazz or blues but all the way back to something Scottish, Irish, or altogether different. Beautiful, powerful, and compelling. I have started giving this album as a gift. Highly recommended.
