I am half blind with macular degeneration PLUS when I want to listen to the radio, I don't want to have to experiment with all sorts of knobs, settings and the like. I looked at local stores and searched the web for something just like this radio. It's the only one I found that met my needs. It's small in size but big in voice. I recommend it for anyone who doesn't feel the need to tweek tone quality and all that.

Very easy to use--even for a blind person. It is like the old-time radios that had knobs instead of digital displays and push buttons. Perfect for those with low vision or those who are technologically unsophisticated.I have had one for months and have encountered zero issues with it. It is exactly what it says it is and does what it says it does. 5 stars.

I don't know, perhaps I just got a bad radio, but this thing had the worst reception ever. I bought it for my 90 year old Mom, and we just couldn't get it to tune into her favorite 50,000 watt am radio station for the life of me. Nothing worked, fooling around with the antenna , moving it around the house, nothing. I finally just tossed it. Really disappointed and I could have bought a better one for a fraction of the price. Like I said, it may have just been a lemon, but it's not a cheap radio, so if you want to take a chance and don't mind returning it if it turns out bad, then that's up to you.
