5.0 out of 5 stars Great am/fm radio with simple controls
I am half blind with macular degeneration PLUS when I want to listen to the radio, I don't want to have to experiment with all sorts of knobs, settings and the like. I looked at local stores and searched the web for something just like this radio. It's the only one I found that met my needs. It's small in size but big in voice. I recommend it for anyone who doesn't feel...

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage
I don't know, perhaps I just got a bad radio, but this thing had the worst reception ever. I bought it for my 90 year old Mom, and we just couldn't get it to tune into her favorite 50,000 watt am radio station for the life of me. Nothing worked, fooling around with the antenna , moving it around the house, nothing. I finally just tossed it. Really disappointed and I could...

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for someone with low vision who likes to listen to radio, July 31, 2011
This review is from: Low Vision Large Dial AM/FM Radio (Health and Beauty)
Very easy to use--even for a blind person. It is like the old-time radios that had knobs instead of digital displays and push buttons. Perfect for those with low vision or those who are technologically unsophisticated.

I have had one for months and have encountered zero issues with it.

It is exactly what it says it is and does what it says it does. 5 stars.

Like I said, it may have just been a lemon, but it's not a cheap radio, so if you want to take a chance and don't mind returning it if it turns out bad, then that's up to you.
