decent shoes, not cheap, but the quality is there
This is the 2nd pair of Lowa shoes I have purchased, one from REI store and this pair on line. The ones I got at REI have held up well, I just had them resoled. This pair is a little higher cut and should be good for extended walking, in moderate terrain.

You could have had mine, but I threw them out.
A little heavy, but nice shoes. EXCEPT that with quite a bit less wear than I would have expected with a much cheaper shoe, I wore holes in the outer sole. Then water got between the outer and mid-sole, which rotted. Needless to say, Shoe Goo was not up to the task. I contacted Lowa about resoling them. They suggested getting in touch with Dave Page, Cobbler, who informed...

Come to think of it, my wife and I have gone through 4 pairs of Lowa boots without one whose wear has lived up to our expectations. They seemed like such good boots. You would think we would learn. |
