Amazon you did it AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in shock! These boots are AMAZING!!! I just got them today and am wearing them now (starting to break them in).

Well for starters. I know I should thank the company (Lowa) for making such an extraordinary hiking boot, but I MUST give THANKS to AMAZON.COM for offering these boots at an affordable price. I have been eying these boots for months, but couldn't justify the cost. I know, I know...the boots are one of the most important (if not THE important) part of your gear. But that $250.00 (tax and all) I just couldn't do it. Then, I saw Amazon offering them for $98.00 for certain sizes. Well I generally wear an 8 1/2 and although I read all the reviews that these boots run big, I could not resist the amazing savings, so I order a size up instead of down.

Needless to say, I am glad I did! They are a bit narrow(ish) boot, but because I ordered a size too big I have ample room in the toe box area yet tightness around the heel (and a good arch support). The larger size also offer great room to scrunch my toes (wide front foot with narrow heel)which is very important for me! I also am able to wear a Liner sock and Wool hiking socks with no discomfort.

These are the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever had! I tried several different hiking shoes, but I couldn't find anything this comfortable like these. I found some were too tough (the leather) around the toes or too tight around the ankles, but everything is perfect with these shoes! They have great support around the ankles but still have enough support. I went hiking with these shoes next day they arrived, but I had no complaints.
Only thing may confusing was the sizing. I usually wear 7.5 or 8, but I ordered 7 after reading some reviews. I have super wide feet and high instep, but still got some room for my toes move and never felt my pinkies were squeezed in. I would say definitely order half size down, or even consider 1 size down.
