I mistakingly thought this was a white add on for the mini studio I bought from Amazon 2 months ago, mainly cause Amazon recommended this together with the same studio.

It turns out that this is just a standing cardboard with clips and some colored paper for background. The papers are wider than the cardboard itself, so to use it with the mini studio you have to actually cut the paper to fit exactly in the studio.

There isnt even a bag or a protective case for the paper, which makes it very easy for it to get dirty or damaged.

If you own a Ego Fluorescent Digital Imaging Light set(s) or you just need an infinity backdrop this one will get the job done. It's very easy to setup, very easy to attach the assortment of papers to give some nice color/contrast to the objects you are capturing. It's also so light you can carry this nearly anywhere and drop and go.

The negatives to this setup is it's fairly cheap. The papers left in light (sunlight) will fade rather quickly. The stand itself is pretty flimsy and has only a little rudder in the back that keeps it standing. It's all made out of some corrugated like plastic.

I don't want to dissuade someone from owning this. I find it quite useful and works very well when you stay in the bounds of its usage. If you need a quick way to get started without a lot of overhead this is a great tool. If you are doing macro work or 1'-ish models, it's great. If you go too large you'll escape the bounds and then need a much larger solution (or a diy backplane).

All in all I've been happy owning this little guy and continue to use it on a near daily basis for the past 2 years.

This item is difficult to review because everything depends on what you're using it for. I absolutely love it for my amateur photography needs. I'm a food blogger who's just not that fantastic at photography. My apartment gets horrible light so I got the Lowel EGO Lamp. But then I realized another problem with my photos is that I have no good background to set them against.

The Table-Top Background Stand is perfect for me because it's inexpensive and easy. Sure, I could have built my own makeshift setup and you could too. But I'm not crafty at all, didn't have any cardboard laying around and just wanted someone to do it for me.

The stand doesn't stand up that well and falls down quite a bit, but no big deal. I generally set it up against a wall. The construction paper is awesome and comes in a wide variety of colors, but yes, it's just construction paper. Especially if you're photographing something like food, it's going to get messy. But I know I can always buy more to replace it. It clips easily to the stand.

If you're a professional photographer, you'll probably laugh at this setup. But for a beginner like me, it's helping me raise the quality of my photos exponentially.
