Product Description

Compact, rugged & versatile, the broad throw Tota-light is a Lowel time honored favorite. It can be used with its umbrella or gel-frame & diffusion as a soft key, fill, or backlight. With its adjustable reflectors, it can be a smooth & even background light, or point it toward the ceiling to raise the ambient (base) light level of a room. Tota is also widely used for photographic copy work.

This kit is great. When I ordered it some parts were on back order, but the supplier was efficient at getting the parts sent out as they came in stock, so it took about 2-3 weeks to get the whole thing together. It was easy to do. Everything comes separately packed, the lamp, bulb, stand, umbrella, power cable, but it only takes a minute to set it all up and use it. I've been using this kit quite heavily since I purchased it, and after a good 10 months I haven't had to change the lightbulb yet (though I anticipate it might need a replacement soon), and I haven't burned the house down either. My only warning is the lamp gets HOT when it is on, it literally is like a second sun. If you remember when you were a kid how you used a 100 watt bulb in an easy bake oven and that churned out baked goods? This lamp is 750 watts, and produces a lot of heat, standing near it WILL make you sweat, and it can potentially be a fire hazard if you have the lamp in close proximity to anything flammable. I try to make sure nothing is near the lamp when using it, and never up against a wall. That being said it also produces a lot of light. I use mine for art projects when I need light that is as close to daylight as possible, and I also use it for photography projects.

I bought this item for $209 and promptly returned it and was credited back only $132. I never opened the box and have been robbed. They still owe me $77
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They can not do simple math.

should be known this light gets super hot ..so hot will melt the cheap screen they give you faster then you can get it out of the box. the light is also not as good as other lights, very small space light.. reallly didnt like it compared to the other lights i got .
