These compact kits GO hand in hand with today's smaller professional camcorders. All 4 ViP GO Kits feature the improved design of the Uni-stand which is replacing the ViP stand with more height, a wider base and larger locking knobs. They travel in the compact GO-84 Case, with moveable velcro partitions and room for a few accessories. As an option, they're also available in Litebag soft cases with moveable velcro partitions. ViP GO Kits come with 2 or 3 lights in combinations of Pro & V-lights. All GO Kits can fly as carry-on baggage. They are ideal for the small crew that needs to travel light, with equipment that is rugged, dependable and versatile. See the Cases section.With its high intensity #2 Reflector & Prismatic Glass, the tiny focusable Pro-light is more efficient than a mini-fresnel of equal wattage, yet it gives an exquisite even light, with fresnel like shadow quality. It can be used as a low-level key or accent light, fill light (with diffusion), or back-light. In addition to a wide variety of customizing accessories, its versatility can be increased by adding a DC adaptor cable & swapping its bulb for use as a camera-top fixture.

I've tried all the cheap DIY lighting alternatives, and while they work ok, now that I have the Lowel Pro's i need nothing else.
I've used them indoor and outdoor and they work great.
My favorite application is to use one on spot settings, place it high up and to the subjects side, to light the background and to act as a spot.
Then use the other one on full flood setting, place about 8 feet right in front of the subject.
So the subject's fully lit but the lighting is still interesting.

I guess that's more information than needed...so back to the review.

The light assembly is easy, just plugging in the bulb.
Both Tripods are simple and sturdy. (you may want some small sandbags just to be safe)
The only thing that would have made this package ultra great would be some heat resistant gloves.
THESE LIGHTS GET HOT...FAST.

If these are your first professional lights lights please be careful, they will burn you immediately.
