The built-in cleaning cloth is a good idea, however, once it gets dirty, it is impossible to remove and wash. Since a dirty cloth contains dirt particles that can scratch a touchscreen, I guess at some point I'll have to stop using it and/or just cut it out of case. Not a big deal, this case was still a good buy in my book.
My GPS's dimensions are 4.9" x 0.9" x 2.9". The fit is very snug and at first I thought the case wouldn't zip up all the way but it does. GPSes are made somewhat thinner than my old 660 so this may not be a problem if you are using a newer model 4.3" GPS. However, I'm still not sure if the snugness is due to the width or the length of my GPS so you may want to keep the measurements of your GPS in mind if you're considering getting this case. If your GPS is both thinner and shorter than my GPS, you should be good to go.
The case has plenty of padding so there's protection against drops, bumps and tousles. This case beats my old Garmin case that came with my unit. With that case, there was no padding at all.
I recommend this case but I would wait until it goes on sale because I don't quite think it's worth the $19.99 asking price. I would say it's worth about half that. Except for the built-in microfiber cloth, there's nothing to really distinguish this case from any other neoprene GPS case that I've seen in stores. It has no pockets, handles, belt loops, etc. This is just a basic, good quality, padded case that can be purchased for less.
The case fits a 4.3 inch GPS like a glove. When I put my smaller 3.5 inch screen GPS, the case still fits nicely without the GPS sliding around in the case.
If you are looking for a case with a slim profile to carry just the GPS unit itself, this is a great choice. It will easily fit in a purse or a coat pocket. However, with the original asking price of $19.99, while an excellent product, I probably would pass on it.
I soon found that it wasn't easy to find a carrying case which comfortably fits an iPhone when it is encased in an InCase Slider. For whatever reason, most iPhone pouches, sleeves, and carrying cases are designed to be just big enough to only accommodate a naked iPhone, but not roomy enough to fit an iPhone with a Slider on. So, after much searching, I was very happy to come across the Lowepro 4.3 inch Navi sleeve GPS carrying case, and to discover that it is perfect for this purpose! I bought one yesterday and am happy with it so far.
My iPhone fits perfectly in the Lowepro 4.3 inch Navi sleeve GPS carrying case when I have the InCase Slider on. The carrying case feels pretty durable and protective. I recommend it for this purpose.
Well, I can say that it fits nicely. It looks like it could even handle something a little larger, though the case isn't too large for mine. It has plenty of padding like my camera bag, and also like my camera bag it has a microfiber flap of cloth inside for protecting the screen. Given how inexpensive it is, I really didn't expect it to be made as well as my $100 camera bag but it is!
I'm glad that I bought this instead of any of the cases Garmin sells because this one has much better protection value which is important, especially since my particular GPS model has a glass screen. I'm not planning to test it, but I'm pretty sure I could drop this thing at least 3' onto concrete and any GPS inside would be undamaged. As a bonus, this case is also a lot less expensive than the official Garmin cases.
Anyway, get this case! If your GPS has a 4.3" screen and isn't from 10 years ago then it's very likely going to fit given the extra space it has with my 3490 in it. This Lowepro is the best case I could find after some extensive searching and I'm not the least bit disappointed.

if you go to lowes you can buy a 1/8" sheet of lexan and use tin snips to cut out a shape that will fit inside the case. Read morePublished 18 months ago by Bruce L. Nguyen
