I got this backpack after an adventure of trying to fit my laptop and assorted electronic gizmos into my laptop briefcase on a short airline trip. I had a sore shoulder and thought there has to be another solution besides bringing less stuff (which will never happen). This backpack is the perfect solution. My 15.4" widescreen laptop fits perfectly into the padded laptop zippered slot. The front area is large enough with many slots/pouches for all the assorted electronic gizmos and their assorted cords and accessories. There is plenty of room for books and other assorted school supplies as well. The front flap closes securely with two clasps and also has an outside zippered area to store stuff. There is a mesh holder on each side for bottled drinks. I got the green tea/parsley color which looks really cool with the orange interior color (these are two of my favorite colors). The best part of this backpack even if you stuff it will all the above mentioned it will not weigh you down. The padded straps are wide and allow the weight to be evenly distributed so there is less strain on your back and shoulders. I would highly recommend this backpack especially for students or travelers who are always on the go and carry their laptop everywhere and want something that can carry everything without weighing them down.

This back pack is literally a life saver! I have scoliosis, and so I must be very careful with the weight I put on my back. This backpack is very comfortable, it doesn't cause me pain when I fill it with my school stuff, and has has a wonderful design that I can easily access the book or item i need to when I need it. No more searching & digging through one pouch for me. I also really like the separate pouch for my laptop, I feel like it is protected from everything. I highly recommend this to everyone. Plus, it just looks snazzy!

I bought this because I absolute have to get away from traveling with humongous laptop purses and briefcases, as they're just too hard on my shoulder. This bag manages to be big enough for "lumpy things" (larger digital cameras, GPS's, fat wallets, books, etc.), with the usual assortment of big and small pockets--most internal, a good thing, plus two water-bottle holders. Yet the backpack manages not to look or feel too bulky, too casual, or too "collegiate." The design is nice enough I will use this for business trips without feeling self-conscious.

As for size, I am very short and the bag feels fine, not too long or wide; the well-padded shoulder straps hit my shoulder just right.

My laptop is very small, so it fits fine -- I can't speak to whether it really fits a 15.4" laptop, but it will sure haul my gear. I also really like that the 'puter pocket is a separate zipped compartment, with very thick padding.

I would take off half a star for the too-small cell phone holder on the front strap, except I plan to use it for my driver's license when I get to airports... I'll go find an accessory that accomplishes the same. It's very hard to complain at all about such a well-made product at this price. And the color is great, too!

I very rarely write reviews. This bag however, was worth my time. It is just the right size. It is spacey enough to carry my mac notebook and my essentials yet small enough to take on a long bike ride. I was able to take a 15 mile bike ride with it on my back and not even notice it was on my back. (I had two bottled waters on both sides) I don't know how they (the makers) did it. The bag carries a lot of weight and you don't feel it. I have been recommending this bag to friends.

Lastly, the price is great!

After years of sore shoulders from messenger-style laptop cases, I realized I really had to get a backpack. I'd heard good things about this brand and decided to give it a shot.

What a FANTASTIC, amazing bag!

It's as light as a feather. The well-padded laptop compartment has a separate top zipper for easy access without messing with the flap, like if you're in line at the airport and don't want to open every part of your bag just to pull the laptop out; how convenient! Inside the flap-covered pocket are tons of small sections, for a cell phone, pens, keys, accessories, anything you need to carry with you. One of the best things about this bag is the way the straps are constructed: as a small woman, I find many backpack straps do not fit me well. These, however, because of their ergonomic curved design, fit both me and my 6'+ tall brother as if they'd been custom-fitted! The back of the bag is padded well and rests comfortably against your back.

I can't say enough good things about this bag. The green with touches of orange is incredibly good-looking, the bag is compact and looks both cool and professional, and it's such a pleasure to use. GREAT purchase.

Great looking laptop backpack that has plenty of room for a book or 2. The straps are padded and the bag hugs the body. This bag is great for people who have a weak back or weak shoulders. Just don't flip the bag upside down. It doesn't have a zipper at the top for the main compartment so small things can come out of the bag which is probably the only flaw I see.

I wasn't really sure about buying this backpack, but decided to because of all of the great reviews. The backpack arrived surprisingly quickly after ordering and it's much better than my old backpack. It's very comfortable and helps support my back well with all of the stuff I have to carry in my backpack. The laptop area is just the right size for my laptop, although if you have an older, bulkier laptop it's unlikely to fit in the backpack. Aside from that, the only complaint I have is that I can't fit as much in this backpack as I could in my last one, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. All in all, a great bag, nice places for everything you need to carry: books, pens/pencils, cell phone, extra keys... They also started selling these for almost twice the price that I bought it at my local bookstore, so it's definitely worth purchasing on Amazon rather than in store.

I like this laptop bag since it has lots of pockets so that you can get organized well for your travels. Also the separate zippered slot for the laptop is very useful. I really liked it while walking through the airport security and removing my laptop over and over. The only bad thing about this bag is that it's a bit huge. I was expecting a little bit smaller when saw the pic on amazon. But it almost exceeds my shoulders, so may not be a good choice especially for tiny women.

This is a great backpack. It holds my 15' Mac perfectly. There are plenty of compartments for pens, my wireless mouse, cables, etc. I also like that it keeps its shape but is still flexible. My last backpack was about as sturdy as a paper bag. I also like the colors, very distinct and easy to find, although I admit I only got the green one because it was cheaper. Great choice!

I purchased this bag based on the number of positive reviews. I received it 2 days ago so I haven't used it much, but so far I'm really happy. I broke my ankle and using crutches I wanted to be able to carry my laptop without it getting in my way like my shoulder messenger bag did. This holds my 15.4" laptop easily, but snugly (so while smaller laptops would have extra room I don't think they'd be bouncing around too much).
I was a little nervous about finding a bag large enough, so I figured I'd highlight the size and compartments--and there is a lack of photos here! Maybe if I dig out my camera I'll take some more photos and post them here. The interior under the flap is has a full-width flat pocket and two 1/2-width slightly fuller pockets, as well as the main interior compartment which is large enough to hold a notebook, and probably 1 or 2 full-sized book or binder. It seems a little less roomy for me because I have to use a laptop base/fan or my cheapo laptop will overheat, so that has to come with me too, limiting my book-carrying capacity. Even with that in it, I had 3 notebooks and a healthy pile of papers today. It won't hold TONS of stuff, but enough to get someone to class, or in my case to and from the school where I teach, as long as I don't want to bring everything I own with me! The outer organizer pockets are great for accessories, water bottle, pens, my cell phone (a smart phone, but smaller than iPhone or most Blackberries). There is also a flat pocket on the flap that is great for letters to mail, keys, and other small items if they're not too bulky.
The material and stitching seems to be good quality, and the clip straps on the flap are adjustable, as are the shoulder straps. In my opinion the excess strap for the shoulder straps is a bit...excessive...but it means that you'll probably be comfortable at any size with this bag. So far, I'm very happy!
