Great for SLR+lens, September 2, 2008
This review is from: Lowepro Cirrus TLZ 25 Holster Style Case For Digital SLR & Telephoto Zoom Lens (Ultramarine Blue) (Electronics)
This case does what it's intended for very well. It's light, compact and holds my Nikon D80 and attached 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens. The build quality is excellent and the lining and padding are very nice. If you just want to carry an SLR and a large zoom lens, this is the bag for you. The price is hard to beat.
However, that said, I'm going to be looking for another bag in the near future. I have a Tamrac that holds several lenses, speedlight and an SLR, but it won't hold them all with a lens mounted. So, I was hoping this bag would be my solution to keeping a superzoom on the camera all the time. I overlooked my desire to keep a speedlight and filters handy. I use fill-flash a great deal of the time and this bag has no provision to carry one. There isn't enough extra room in the main compartment for a speedlight and the small side pouch will not comfortably hold a filter-carrier. There are no side-loops or other attachment points, just a thick belt-loop on the body-side.
I'm currently looking at the LowePro Mini-Mag as I think it might be the solution for my particular application.

Great Holster, November 23, 2010
This review is from: Lowepro Cirrus TLZ 25 Holster Style Case For Digital SLR & Telephoto Zoom Lens (Ultramarine Blue) (Electronics)
I usually this holster constantly. It will hold my D90 with the Tamron 18-270 VC lens. It has space for carrying extra memory cards and another space for carrying extra batteries. I usually carry this when I am hiking. The only thing I would change about it is a pad on the strap where it goes on the shoulder or around the neck. I have done 10 mile hikes with the holster and the padding in the holster insures that my camera and lens are safe.

Canon 5D Mark II with 24-105 Zoom Lens Attached Fits Tight, July 29, 2010
This review is from: Lowepro Cirrus TLZ 25 Holster Style Case For Digital SLR & Telephoto Zoom Lens (Ultramarine Blue) (Electronics)
I took a chance of ordering this without knowing if it would actually fit my new Canon 5d with its 24-105mm lens attached. And it does fit with a little persuasion. Of course, you have to reverse the lens hood, but then it will all fit including the lens hood. The tight part is the viewfinder part of the camera. It doesn't exactly just drop into place. You have to force it a little, not too much, but a little more space would have been nice. The camera sure isn't going to wallow around inside. I guess you can fold up the camera strap, but you will want some protection for your LCD screen to prevent scuffs and scratches. I ended up just letting the camera strap hang outside of the case even though it looks a bit odd. There are dual zippers so that you can pull the straps to the center of the camera above the viewfinder. I don't think there is any space for any accessories. There is a little pouch inside the lid, but it is unusable with my camera, especially if you want to fold up the camera straps. At least this color is a lot cheaper than the same product in black. Or at least that was the case when I bought it.
