The LowePro Classified Sling is a great bag for event photographers or photo journalists. The sling bag style allows for quick on the go equipment changes and portability. The classified sling can be swung around in front of you or you can use the quick release to lay the bag down. The bag has a quick grab handle on the side for when you lay the bag down. This allows for it to be quickly picked up or moved when on the go. The bags main compartment is accessed from left side of the bag. The bags main compartment has four large and two small movable dividers. The two small dividers have pull tabs so they can be easily moved to get to equipment.

The bag is very compact but it can hold a good amount of equipment. On the outside of the bag it has two zippered compartments. One smaller compartment for general storage and another compartment that fits my 15" macbook with ease. A 17" inch laptop could fit if needed. On the top of the bag it has a zippered compartment for accessories. The wall off the accessory compartment can be removed by using the pull tab. This allows you to either access the main compartment or to make the main compartment larger. The main compartment has a large zipper pocket and 3 pockets for memory cards. The memory card pockets have card status tabs notifying if they have been used or not. The main compartment is very spacious and can fit many different set ups with the removable dividers. The four large dividers have camera rests on top of them so you can rest your DSLR (lense down) in the bag. This allows for quick access to your camera or an easy resting spot when grabbing other equipment.

The classified sling has tripod storage on the right side of the bag. This allows for easy transportation of the tripod but it does get in the way when laying the bag down to access the main compartment. When the tripod is attached using the sling function works best to access equipment. Otherwise, you are forced to lay your tripod on the ground possibly damaging it when the bag is released. I suggest to remove the tripod from the bag when working an event and regularly accessing the bag.

I like this bag because it has a very professional look and it gets the job done. It stores plenty of equipment and it is very compact. It fits in the carry on bin and under the seat of any commercial plane (without tripod attached). This bag allows me to bring my computer and camera equipment where ever I need to go.

My favorite thing about this bag is how comfortable it is. I prefer sling bags but they can get uncomfortable when you start loading them down with more than just a kit lens. This waist straps do a nice job of moving the weight down to the waist when you're just walking around and not digging through the bag. The waist straps could do with some padding (similar to the simple velcro piece on the shoulder strap to pad it against your ribs).

The design of the inside takes a minute to get used to (especially if you're used to a bag where each lens gets its own top loading compartment. In my bag, for example, I have three compartments (3 columns if you're looking at the side opening facing up). Each compartment is divided into 1, 2 or 3 section. There are velcro dividers between each. So... to get to everything you have to go through the top and/or middle levels. This means you put your less frequently used stuff towards the bottom and the more frequently used items at the top. After 6 months of using it this way, I have to say that it seems to work pretty well, and is more organized than I had first thought it would be. My biggest complaint is really the fact that they don't give you enough dividers and I had to scavenge some from my old bag.

The tripod attachment on the outside isn't great. I'm sure it stays in while you're walking around and such but if you bump it or set the bag down without taking it out first, the leg thats in the tripod pouch gets knocked out and best-case scenario it swings freely on your back and its annoying, worst-case it falls gets scratched and banged up. The little snap that holds the upper part tight against the bag is too wide and makes it tough to get it nice and snug without a ton of effort.

If I had the choice again, I would still pick this bag. Even with all its faults it still holds all my gear nicely and safely, has a nice big flat pocket in front for my bounce and flash mounted lightbox, looks professional and its comfy to use. I would pick this one over the smaller version only because this one gives you some room to grow if you ever think you might buy more gear down the road.

Great Product and an even better Seller, I would recommend this to anyone who went to protect your camera gear and hold a laptop. However if you aren't using it for your laptop I would go with a smaller item a little large to use everyday.
