Camera bag, March 12, 2009
This review is from: Lowepro Inverse 100 AW Camera Beltpack (Black) (Electronics)
This is an excellent bag. It held my Nikon D300 and one additional lens without a problem. The shoulder strap was a great addition as I did not need to worry that the bag would fall when getting out a lens. It was excellent to use when walking around. I sometimes carried my camera separate and stored my D70 body and two other lens. Side net pocket was great for carrying water. It is not a big bag but great for walking around, climbing temples etc. Does not weigh you down. The company I purchased the bag from was just outstanding

The bag saved my shoulder., September 21, 2009
This review is from: Lowepro Inverse 100 AW Camera Beltpack (Black) (Electronics)
I bought this 100AW to replace my sling shot 200AW. The latter one certainly has more space but make my shoulder feel very tired every time I use it for travel. I have Canon 5D mark2 with 1740L lens attached in the 100AW(without hood), I can also put 70200F4LIS aside in the bag. Yes, you read it right. 70-200F4LIS! It's a little tight fit but works well for me. I also put 580Ex2 in the left side mesh pocket, a 500ml bottle water in the right side mesh pocket. I still have front pocket for charger, CF card, USB cables. This is what I loaded in the bag for my 6 days trip to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Antelop Canyon and Arches National park. To be very honest, I hiked almost all the long trails in Arches national park in early Sept. This bag saved me a lot of energy by sharing weight between waist/hip and shoulder. I should have bought it a long time ago! The only complain is that maybe it could be a little wider, just 0.5 inch will make 70200F4LIS fit more easily. or maybe 0.5 inches higher? :) No regret at all buying this.

Capable and comfortable, November 30, 2010
This review is from: Lowepro Inverse 100 AW Camera Beltpack (Black) (Electronics)
It's spacious. It holds my D90 with 18-200 lens attached, and the 105VR Micro lens. To make this work, I did remove one of the two dividers. I love the fact that a belt pack is capable of holding so much, when needed.
Went hiking in the Golden Gate park (Stow lake to the top of waterfall and Botanical garden) for hours, taking photos at will retrieving and putting the camera back repeatedly. It worked like a charm. I would not be able to do so as efficiently using a backpack or as securely using a shoulder bag. The shoulder strap is adjustable so it hangs across on my shoulder yet nearly all the weight just dissipates around my body. I'm impressed by the comfort! Weight is negated and not an issue while it feels nearly effortless to carry.
I will say though, I'm a male who's a bit rounder than the models in the demo video. The guy in the picture is flat front and back. I find the pack accentuates my roundness. My son wants this bag for himself.
Likes:
Good capacity
Super secure hold using both belt and shoulder straps
Quick access
Comfortable
Free up the arms and hands
Weight is minimized (in the use with the micro4/3, it's to the point I'm almost not aware of lugging anything)
Well constructed
Dislikes:
Perhaps the look needs gettin' used to

03/29/11 After many months of use, I'm loving it. Two features stand out in particular: bag stays secure around the waist, and quick gear access. I find the beltpack design ideal for walks or hikes.
----------------
08/30/11 I've recently acquired the Olympus micro 4/3 system, a much smaller and lighter photo gear. works great with this bag and there is a ton of room for extra gear.
