Product Description
The Lens Case 5 by Lowepro provides special protection for short and long lenses, with extra padding, an extra rigid base and compression straps. The DryFlo mesh-padded belt slot takes an soptional S&F Deluxe Waistbelt. The Lens Case 5 can also be carried on the shoulder strap or fastened to any Lowepro Trekker AW II backpacks.

This case is built better than many suitcases. Top of the line quality and highly functional. Minus one star for the price - not that it wasn't worth it, but it cost more than I had initially planned to spend.

I bought this case to protect my Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L lens. It is a bit large for the lens itself, so I have the straps as tight as possible to keep it from shaking around. It is a bit bulky for my needs but it also keeps me feeling very comfortable that it would take a lot to damage my lens. The padding is ~3/4" thick so it's a solid case.
I'm able to fit my XSi body with the lens attached in here as well, though it's a tight fit length wise. However, I don't think most people realize that this is even a camera inside so it seems pretty discrete (I've taken it into shuttle launches and sporting events, and security always seems surprised to see that it's a camera).
