I had a Brenthaven Trek for my Mac, which is a great bag with lots of room, but it was uncomfortable to wear over the shoulder or full on. I wanted to change to a Messenger style bag, but was worried about not having enough space, so I ordered the Lowepro L for 17" (even though I have a 15")

First of all, I was right to order a size larger, but the good news that this bag is excellent and really intelligently designed. Material quality is excellent, and the price is a tremendous value.

The bag has more than enough room for all my stuff (and I have alot) and is extremely comfortable to wear. Genius moves are a padded downside, a spare handle, and sliding shoudler guard.

My only complaint is that there should really be one more file-size divided compartment inside, but with the space I have at 17" I just use the laptop sleeve.

I bought this bag for my wife to use with her 17" laptop. She loves it.

As the other reviewers said, it has space for EVERYTHING. It is a larger bag, but that's the price you pay to get the ability to hold everything.

One thing you can't see from the photos is that this is a really well constructed bag. The materials are fantastic, and it's just really well put together. We've had ours for almost 2 years, and it's still holding up great. If we ever needed another computer bag, I would definately buy a Lowepro bag again.

This bag is great. It holds my 17inch Dell Laptop perfectly and snuggly. I comfortably normally carry my laptop, a cell, cords, my little point and shoot camera, a binder, a reading book and several other small things most people would carry around in a purse. The strap is really comfortable and ive never had an issue with digging in or akwardness. I really like all the little invidual pockets that hold things and this bag has lots of those so its very easy to find everything. The material seems very hardy and dirt resistant. All in all i really like this bag and would recommend it highly.

I bought this bag to safely transport my laptop from home to work. The laptop compartment is WELL PADDED and holds my laptop securely in place. There is more than enough room for my business notebooks, paperwork and my personal stuff. It would be great for a student also. The only thing that is slightly annoying is the bag is pretty darn big, however, what would you expect when hauling a 17" laptop around. It has space for EVERYTHING, including phone, credit cards, you name it. But, because of it's size, I couldn't imagine carrying it into a store, and I wouldn't want to leave it laying in plain sight in my vehicle. Overall, it works for me, and it is well-made.

Great bag with many pockets without being too bulky. Wish the strap had the ability to be a little longer though.
