Check out the photos that I've uploaded for a visual. I purchased this bag in hopes that it would be perfect to hit the streets with just a basic kit ie. camera body & 2 prime lenses & the iPad.
It's just a little too narrow for the 5D mark III. This would probably be great for a Canon or Nikon crop ie. T2i or D5100.
If you do have a FF body, you could probably still get away with carrying the body w/out lens attached, & maybe 2 small lenses & a flash or 2 larger lenses & body. After that, there wouldn't be any room for accessories, so don't even think about those.
Anyways...should probably look at something else if you have FF.
I can fit the 70-200 F4 lens attached, facing down, with hood reversed but the cover will not close for sure. OK..if you're doing street shooting & just need to grab it quick & don't mind that the cover will just be bulging out on top enough to where neither the plastic clip or the velcro can fasten, that would work also.
May end up returning it & opting for the larger Event Messenger 250.

High quality bag, easy to adapt to your specific gear. I have my 7D plus attached 70-200 in it plus one extra lens and iPad. If you separate body and lens there is even more space left

I bought this bag to use in situations when it is either not appropriate or not desirable to carry around my full-size camera backpack. I recently upgraded to a Nikon D800, and am able to fit the D800 into this bag easily, with room for two additional small to medium lenses.
This bag can almost fit a 10" HP netbook in its tablet pocket; I don't have a tablet to carry around but the pocket fits my friend's tablets.
There are plenty of smaller pockets for accessories like memory cards, a flash, cables, chargers, etc. The side pockets can fit a small water bottle, umbrella, or granola bar.

As a note, this bag is not very large - I have to choose what I want to bring with me before I leave the home - but I bought the bag to fit only selected items, and as long as you only intend to carry around one body, 2-3 lenses and a small flash at a given time, you will be all set.

The best thing about this bag is does not attract much attention (only a subtle LowePro logo, no flashy colors ) and I can quickly, quietly open it up and have all of the equipment I brought along for a given day at my fingertips.

I use this bag every day. Perfect for my Nikon D5100 w/lens, 1 or two extra lenses and my iPad. The side pockets work well for a bottle of water or a small umbrella. I'm very picky with bags and this one is very good.

Bought this bag for a 2 week trip. I didn't want to bring a laptop on the trip so I wanted a trip that would hold my camera, a couple lenses, iPad and a couple accessories. This bag fit the bill! Good quality bag, nice layout, and a great price.

I had bought another bag before that was too small and saw these. I was traveling and it was great.
It held a 10.1 Samsung Tablet, Sony A77 camera w 2 len's, filters, batteries, accessories, cables and was comfortable to carry.
Inside is adjustable and well padded. Well thought out product.

I am incredibly impressed with this bag. Lots of room and extremely well made. Not a thread out of place and the tablet pocket is nicely padded for your IPad. I am not a professional but I think this bag is perfect for any photographer that is on the move with multiple lenses.

I didn't buy this from Amazon, but figured I would write up a little something about it. I made the switch from a full frame Canon system to the Fuji XT1. I have never been happier. Unfortunately, all of my camera bags (yes I have several, and if you are like most photographers...you have more than one yourself in your quest to find the "perfect" bag lol).

Anyway, I wanted something small, and I stumbled across this bag at a local store. Even though it is small (compared to my Domke F1 and Think Tank backpacks), it still holds quite a bit. I am currently carrying the following items in this bag:

Fuji X-T1
XF 56mm 1.2 lens w/ hood
Zeiss 32mm f/1.8 lens w/ hood
2 spare batteries
2 cases with 4 AA eneloops each
EF-X8 flash
Rogue flashbender
Nexus 7 2013 tablet
case with flash gels
Yongnuo yn560 flash
2 pocket wizard plus x with cables
memory card wallet with 3 extra cards
2 flash grids
lens filter case with 2 filters
giottos rocket blower (small)
camera strap
various misc items such as lens clothes/wipes, lens pen, business card holder, headphones, leatherman tool,

The bag was smaller than I had expected. Regardless of size it function and work exactly as describe. The craftmanship is great as well. I was debating between this bag or the lowepro messenger pro which cost 160+, I couldn't justify spending additional 100$ for a similar bag. Although the pro messenger seems to offer a better appealing color for my taste and a couple more gadget I wish the messenger event had, such as room for dslr+battery grip, luggage compatible, misc pockets here and there. Overall for 60$ this is a great bag with plenty of padded protection for your expensive camera/toys.

I like this bag first because it does not look too much like a camera bag and does not draw much attention to itself. I have the tan/green/mica color rather than the black version that looks like an a/v bag. I can fit all of my "walk around" gear in this bag: Canon 6D with 24-70L f2.8 attached (plus hood), 70-200L f4 (plus hood), and 430EXII flash. I have an otterbox on my iPad, so I can't fit that into the tablet slot. Even if it was just the iPad, it would be a really tight squeeze with the rest of the gear. The side pockets are really tight, and a water bottle is a difficult fit. I do keep my sunglasses in a hard shell case on one side. The front compartment is small, and I usually keep my phone, and a polarizing filter in there. I've squeezed one set of rf-602 triggers in there, and a sto-fen, but it was tight. It's big enough to hold my gear, yet small enough to not be obnoxious. Another bonus is that it fits inside my swiss gear computer backpack, so I can combine the bags when traveling (one less bag to keep track of at the airport screener).
