5.0 out of 5 stars Lowepro Micro Trekker 100 is durable and affordable
My husband and I just purchased our first Lowepro product for our SLR camera. We enjoy numerous outdoor activities and this style fits our needs perfectly. The quality construction and padding is top-notch. The design is a great backpack style that is both rugged and comfortable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good bag is this is what you want.
I am not all that thrilled with this bag for a several reasons. I know this sounds nuts, but I wanted something small and compact. I have a camera, a lens or two, and a flash. I wanted a back pack so I wouldn't like a camera geek. This one would have been perfect, except that front straps are weird. There is a strap in the middle that has a clip, as well as one for...

4.0 out of 5 stars Offers good protection for your camera, August 30, 2010

I like it, use it often, have the larger one and wish this there was one in-between the two. I still use film and will continue to do so until film is no longer available and this backpack doesn't give me enough room for the camera body, two lenses and the lead-lined bag I use to transport film through airports.

I guess if you have a digital camera this would be large enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy access, great for travel. Definitely recommended!, June 26, 2007
This review is from: Lowepro Micro Trekker 100 Camera Backpack(Green) (Electronics)
I have a Nikon D80. I purchased the Micro Trekker 100 from B&H Photos in New York City while on vacation. Perfect choice!

Originally I purchased Case Logic's SLR Zoom Camera Holster before my vacation, but it's so bulky, and having it slung around my neck while I traveled was not comfortable. At B&H I checked out many small cases but it was clear the Micro Trekker 100 was perfect for my travel needs. I wanted space for my camera and lots of extra room for my wallet, maps, keys, snacks, small book, sunglasses, and more - your basic travel stuff. I thought it was nice that the inside zip pocket has two little zip pounces for holding money and was waterproof to protect my camera from getting wet (I did experience one day getting caught in the rain). There's added compartments inside for extra lenses, which I converted to more space for knickknacks by adjusting the Velcro walls inside. The backpack sits comfortably and is easy to access the camera all while walking or running about.

All in all it's a great travel camera bag that feels secure. There's a waist and shoulder cross strap for more secure snug fit, though I didn't use them. And the little mesh bag on the outside worked well for holding a soda bottle. In short, I was able to free up my hands and pockets and not feel weighted down while sightseeing, all with easy access to my camera. Definitely recommended!

This is a great bag for the price. There is a TON of room in it for the gear and lots of compartments and pockets. This bag will allow me to go from carrying two backpacks to only one.

I am not all that thrilled with this bag for a several reasons. I know this sounds nuts, but I wanted something small and compact. I have a camera, a lens or two, and a flash. I wanted a back pack so I wouldn't like a camera geek. This one would have been perfect, except that front straps are weird. There is a strap in the middle that has a clip, as well as one for your waist. I doubt I would have gotten this if I had seen a front picture. (In hind sight, I wish I had googled it, and came up with the Lowepro site. You will see what I mean in the last picture.)

It is roomy enough if you have a SLR camera and several lenses. Just make sure that the front straps are what you want BEFORE you buy. (Unless you want the hassle of having to return it.)
