I've really come to love this bag. Everything is sewed well and feels really sturdy. The foam used to cushion the compartments in the bag (there's a moveable divider (attaches with Velcro-style strips) in the main compartment) is sturdy and protects the contents well. There is space enough for a medium sized digital camera, a compact battery charger and batteries, cables, and a few memory cards. This bag also has a weatherproof hood that comes out of a hidden zipper to wrap the whole thing up and protect it from rain--a very cool feature. Anyway, I know it's hard to get too excited about a bag, but this really is a cool one.

As with all Lowepro Cases they are rugged and almost indistructable. Some of the best thought out cases on the market. But in this case why not suggest that shoppers look and the line that Lowepro actually has created for Digital Cameras. They have a series of about a half dozen cases specially designed to be used with digital cameras. The Nova Mini is a great bag but the D-Res-50 is better, having soft insides so that your LCD display will not get scratched from the inside material, they have little velcro deviders to that you can adjust the bag to fit the size of your camera and even little pockets inside that are designed to accomodate digital camera accessories like extra memory cards and extra batteries. They even have a hidden rain jacket to protect your electronic equipment from the Elements. The hard ware on the D-Res cases are made of metal instead of plastic makeing them not just practical but designed to last through the ages. And like all Lowepro cases it carries a lifetime warranty. The D-Res 50 is the middle bag that Lowepro makes for digital cameras they have one that's half the thickness that will work with most digital cameras also and two smaller than that if you really want a compact case for your little digital camera. I don't think that the Nova Mini is a bad bag quite the contrary, it's great and cheaper than the D-Res series but I do feel it lacks some of the greatest parts of the D-Res series and thus why I would rather see you suggesting the D-Res series of bags for digital customer.

I wanted a bag to carry my camera, a Canon S2, my battery charger, batteries and other equipment and also other things like my wallet and cosmetic items so I decided on this item. The bag is very durable and sturdy. The weather protector looks a bit silly but believe me, it works! I've had it for over 5 months and I'm very happy with it.

Having read the review by another user for his Canon XSi, I bought the bag for my Canon XSi. The bag works great for the camera with the kit lens (18-55MM IS) mounted. The camera is stored with the lens facing downward into the bag, and two Velcro adjusted flaps holding the camer body in place. The bag will only work for camera with telephoto lens that's about 3.5 in length and nothing longer.

There's enough space for another accessory on the side, either a flash or another lens, but nothing more. Two configuration will work best:
a. Camera with either kit lens or telephoto lens (55-250) mounted facing down, flash placed vertically tucked under the flap on the side with no camera grip, this scenario is great for studio/indoor shoot.
b. Camera with telephoto lens mounted facing down, and the kit lens tucked behind the flap on the side with no camera grip.

The all weather cover is nice to have, but will take up a lot of space away from the front pocket. The top lid with quick snap on works well to protect the camera. The only complaint I have is that the top lid does not by default open fully, which makes taking the camera out harder while the bag is hanging around your neck. When the bag is set on a flat surface, it's easier to bend the top lid backward and making the entire opening available for camera placement.

Overall, the bag does a fine job for carrying the camera and the basic accessories, which is all most people will ever need. The bag is actually an earlier generation of current nova series products, the new siblings are nova 120/140/160 AW. There's not much difference between the old and new, and the nova mini cost a lot less.

I took this bag on vacation and I loved it! It's lightweight, sturdy and compact. It's the ideal bag if you're just bringing your camera and a single lens. The interior is padded and waterproof. The bag is not bulky at all. I recommend this bag highly if you do not carry alot of equipment around.

I bought this bag as a gift for a friend who need one badly. I chose this one because of the color and the fact that it has a full zipper enclosure to keep dirt out. This camera bag is just big enough to fit a sony alpha with kit lens AND sony's telephoto lens which is rather compact. to get both of them in there one of the padded inserts has to be removed. the smaller pockets provide enough room for a spare battery, cables, lens cloth and filters.

This is a very study small DSLR camera bag. I use mine to carry my Canon Rebel XSI with kit lens and 55-250 or 50 1.8, but not all three. I can however, barely fit a small extra lens and flash (430 EXII) but the bag becomes hard to close, and I wouldn't recommend it. Never really had to use it, but I like the idea of having the all weather cover in case I'm caught in a down poor.

I wanted a camera bag that wasn't too big but would carry my camera and maybe another item.....a wallet, another quick-shot camera, cell phone or some camera accessories. This holds my Sony DSC-S75 digi-cam perfectly with room for my cell phone or my other small camera. Has nice pockets and is well padded to protect your camera. Well made and a good price.

Lowepro does it again. Being a former photo-journalist for the magazine "Ebony," I always had to be on the run with my camera, and had to be ready. Lowepro has always been a reliable, affordable, attractive producer of bags, and the Nova Mini is no exception. If you only have a small camera with little film, get it! I'm telling you, especially when you don't want to be lugging around a camera bag the size of a suitcase (trust me, taking a plane and arguing with the flight attendant if your bag is too big or not to have to put into storage is a hassle and a half!). Lowepro...a name you can trust!

Great bag at a great price. Does everything I was looking for in a nice quality size. The canvas is high quality. The color is a very pleasant shade of hunter green. The seller was excellent and shipped quickly and informed me each step of the way.
