have previously owned the north face, swiss army and ogio backpack styles. this one comes the closest to being the best of all worlds for me. not perfect, but is as compact as any of my previous ones and affords exponentially better protection. the sides are somewhat rigid, so the bag does not compress and smash the display against the keyboard. this makes the cargo room rather sparse, but the notebook is much safer. the front pockets will hold plenty of flat items (ipod, glasses, pens, cd's), but nothing with any real bulk. there is a nice pouch to hold the charger and there is ample space in the accessory pocket for a mouse, a few cords and other such small items. a few magazines or folders worth of documents will fir nicely in the main bay, but not much else. the cell phone and water bottle pouches on the outside of the bag work well, too.

Well-constructed Notebook Backpack,

I ordered this notebook to hold my school-issued Gateway Tablet computer. It is well-constructed and solid. The computer is well protected with ample amounts of padding. There is more than enough room to put all the standard cords and cables in the front Velcro pocket. I can put several folders and small paperback textbooks in the zippered compartment behind the front Velco pocket. Each pocket also has room and compartments for assorted school supplies, calculators, assignment books, etc. The straps are very well padded. Even though the computer weighs a lot for being a notebook, it hardly seems like any weight due to the strapping and solid construction. It is well worth the money.

My Favorite Laptop Bag So Far,

I've been lugging various laptops around for the last ten years. Recently an opportunity arose which required I purchase a second laptop. I already had a big backpack bag large enough to hold my laptop, power cords for all my devices, files, medicines, business cards, an MP3 player, 2 sets of headphones (cell and MP3)... well you get the idea. What I wanted for my new Dell 810 was a bag big enough to accommodate a 15" wide computer, the extra power cord I purchased with it and not much more. (I enthusiastically recommend getting a spare power cord for your laptop. You will thank me later).
I'd nearly given up. All I could find were those neoprene sleeves with no room for the power supply or units much too bulky or units costing way more than I wanted to spend. Then this bag showed up in Amazon's Daily Deals feed. It looked pretty good at a price that cannot be beat, so I ordered it. I am so glad I did! It arrived last night on my doorstep. I opened it up and explored the bag. It has leather looking visible panels, high quality zippers, and lots of padding on the back and straps. There is a handle to make carrying it easy while you have your other bag on your shoulders. There are 3 pouches. The outer one under the Velcro flap houses your quick grab items. The center compartment has several pockets and flaps for pens, media, electronics and such. The largest compartment has a removable cables bag and a neoprene flapped laptop cradle that tucks my 810 in snug as a bug in a rug. The hidden water bottle net is neat and I use cell phone pockets for everything but cell phones. (They are a great place to hide your Skittles!) Although the bag is compact in size it can hold a lot. Great bag at a great price.

This backpack is an amazing deal for the $30 price tag. It is perfect for my Apple MacBook Pro 15" and the pockets are great for the power supply, CDs, iPod, and miscellaneous cables. The exterior and interior use a mix of materials, so it isn't a "big vinyl sack" like many others, but rather has the appearance and feel of an expensive bag. The profile is thin compared to most, but it still provides good protective padding inside and a fair bit of extra space for books and such. The padded shoulder straps and back section make it very comfortable to carry. I love it!

Before I brought this computer backpack, I when on line to see what other companys were sell it and smilar items. What I found was it ranged from $50 -$100 dollars, which still didn't tell me anything. Then I also found out that this company is known for making really great bags and after reading different reviews about the company, I decided to take a gamble buying sight untouched or seen in person.
I just got it in the mail and it is worth more then worth it. Its heavy padded, unlike the other laptop backpacks in the price rage. The back of the backpack and the shoulder straps are also very well padded. The only odd thing for me is that they don't have the cell phone holder on the straps but its on the side of the backpack. There is a hiden water botter holder on the other side of the bag. What you see pictured is really want it looks like. The only other thing is that I think they don't show you that there is anther front pocket in very front of the bag. I tested it out with my 13'3" laptop and my 15" one. Both fit by themselves wonderfuly. I am very pleased. I been looking for a laptop backpack that fits my need and I found out that my main issue was that most wasn't padded evenly. It either wasn't padded well period, or one or 3 sides were missing padding unlike this backpack. The one warning is that this backpack is a backpack for the laptop, which means other then a book and the basic supplies that fit into the pockets beside the laptop, there isn't much room for anything elas.

This backpack has a very well thought out design. There is a place for everything and everything can be accessed quickly and easily. With its padded shoulder straps it is comfortable to wear. I'm also impressed with how compact it is: no bumping into things like what happens with bulkier backpacks. I would certainly recommend this bag to a friend.

I had the hardest time trying to find a backpack that was small, yet held a laptop and some other things, like a folder and such. I was hesitant with not seeing the backpack up close, but once it arrived I realized I picked the right product. This backpack is extremely well designed to not take up much space, but when needed has PLENTY of pockets and pouches inside and very organizer friendly. If you are searching for a backpack that carries your laptop, but is not so huge you feel like your trekking through Europe, then this is your pick.

Granted, I'm not a student and don't use this for my business, so I don't need a LOT of room in a Notebook Backpack. I can understand the concerns of others who have a lot to carry around along with their notebook computer. However for my needs, this is MORE than roomy enough. It is well padded and has lots of cool little pockets for my miscellaneous items. It is well constructed and while not waterproof, it does appear to be water resistant. It holds my 15.4" Toshiba Satellite perfectly with plenty of room to spare. I recently took an overnight trip which required airline travel. I was able to pack my computer w/cords, my cordless mouse, my phone and charger, a very small toiletry kit, my wallet, and a change of clothes (luckily, a knit dress and underwear don't take a LOT of room). I also appreciate that it has a handle on top as well as the typical (well-padded)backpack straps.
The front section has an ID slot, 4 pouches with velcro closures, 4 additional uncovered pouches and 4 pen-sized pouches, as well as a key fob. On one side of the backpack there is another covered pouch with a velcro closure (probably intended for a cellphone) and on the other side there is a hidden expandable mesh pocket to hold a water bottle. In the padded section intended to store the computer, there is, of course, a large pouch for the computer, with a flap that covers the top of the computer and velcros shut. The outside of the computer pouch has two additional uncovered pouches on it. On the opposite side there is a large pouch suitable for a file folder or such, which also has a velcro closure, and a detachable barrel-shaped zippered case for holding power cords and/or other incidentals. I highly recommend this case. It has a lot of features, looks professional and is very reasonably priced. I have a Targus backpack for my work laptop and I MUCH prefer this Lowepro Tropolis 1250! |
