A pleasant,if not exciting read. At the time of religious intolerance in England,the reign of the boy king Edward,Hugo Kendal,a papist,is forced to flee the country,not to return until Mary ascends the throne.His cousin,Maria has loved him since childhood,but is forced to endure her love alone until the death of Hugos wife.It's an interesting tale of the time of Tudor England when a light read is in order.
