Incorrectly labeled as Hanukkah gelt, but very tasty chocolates anyway and a good value for the price.I bought two boxes of these (48 bags) to use as "booty" for a pirate-themed birthday party. We filled up a plastic treasure chest with these bags of chocolates and set the rest aside to use to fill the pinata at my daughter's 6th birthday party. Then we hid a series of clues around the park leading the kids to the location of the hidden treasure chest. Once they found the treasure chest, we distributed the booty equally amongst our scurvy crew and absolutely all the kids loved them. I was glad I had two boxes because the crew grew in size as many of the bystander kids that were just playing at the park that day joined in on the excitement of the hunt too. They were marked as US currency, and were not marked with Hanukkah related symbology, but in our case that was irrelevant. They were quite tasty and perfect for our needs. Each bag had one larger coin and three small coins and all were made of decent quality chocolate. All were molded with US currency as their model but for us that was perfect as we had a group of kindergarten students who are all learning about currency and US money at the moment.

I recently purchased two boxes of Chocolates for a St Patrick's Day Party. The shipping department noticed that they had only sent one box and did everything possible to make it right! I got both boxes before I needed them. Danny was great on keeping me informed and the Chocolate was both delicious and the perfect party favor. And they looked great in our pot of gold. There was some Menorahs/Hebrew writing on them but I didn't mind and no one else noticed.

All these reviews said there were no menorahs or Hebrew writing on the coins which is FALSE. There are menorahs and Hebrew writing on the smaller coins in the bags. There are 4 coins per mesh bag (3 small ones and 1 big one). The big coin doesn't have any menorah or Hebrew writing but the smaller ones do. Beware if you are buying this for a generic gold coin - - these aren't generic. Chocolates themselves are fine.

The box that arrived looked just like what was pictured on amazon. When I opened the box, however, the foil on the coins looked more like american chocolate coins than gelt. The images on the foil were of eagles and presidents and not of menorahs. It tasted fine but I was disappointed as I ordered this specifically for decorations for a Hanukkah party.

I was very happy with my purchase of the Elite Milk Chocolate Gold Coins, although I'm not sure why the word "Gelt" isn't used in place of "gold coins." The gelt is the type that kids usually get in school or synagogue. The chocolate tastes good, and it is the perfect favor for a Channukah party.

Very convenient and cute chanukiah with birthday-sized candles. this menorah doesn't take up much room but gets the job done. Chocolate coins look good and taste that way too.

US Coins? Really?,

The chocolate tasted good enough and the shipping was timely, but when I see a product advertised as Hanukkah gelt, I expect the coins to have Hebrew and, probably, a menorah or two. Very disappointing.

Ok, I saw the menorahs on the box and assumed that what was pictured would be what I would receive inside of the box. Nope, no menorahs or hebrew. Just US coins. False advertising. The chocolate tasted fine though.

Nice chocolates - okay flavor - only 3-4 per bag... After reading the reviwes I took a "gamble" and ordered these -for a Mardi Gras party! Yes, they are in fact from Isreal and the language is clearly Hebrew. The irony is NOT lost on me, nor did I intend any cultural disrespect. I just took a shot that they would be US coins as some reviews had stated. Don't worry! They won't go to waste. My next door neighbor invites us to her Hanukkah party every year and we'll bring these for her to use as favors.
