If you're looking for a system that can not only take you to your favorite fishing spots, but help you catch more fish than ever before, the M68C is for you. The FishReveal, FishTrack, and Advanced Fish Symbol I.D. features offer several options that can make your fishing expeditions more fun and productive. You can also rely on the shallow, deep, zone, and fish alarms to guide you, or incorporate other Lowrance transducer options for versatile, all-season portable fish finding.
Powerful and reliable, the M68C offers true 800 watts peak-to-peak transmit power, while the innovative 200 KHz, bullet-shaped transducer produces up to 60 degrees of coverage area using high sensitivity technology. Because it features a full 12-parallel channel GPS with selectable WAAS reception, you can trust this system to deliver accurate information. For added convenience, the mega-memory saves up to 1,000 waypoints, 1,000 event markers, and 100 routes (up to 100 waypoints per route). You can also take advantage of 42 graphic icons to mark important spots, 40 map ranges (0.02 to 4,000 miles) with easy zoom in and out control, and 100 savable plots trails with up to 10,000 points per trail. And thanks to the internal back-up memory, you won't have to worry about losing stored sonar settings and GPS data--all important information will remain accessible for years to come. Finally, to help make sure you get exactly where you wish to go, the M68C provides off course, arrival, and anchor alarms as well as a trip calculator, sun/moon calendar and even a man overboard feature to help ensure the safety of all passengers.
The M68C comes with a full one-year warranty.

Still figuring out what it can do for me,
This review is from: Lowrance M68C S/Map 3.5-Inch Waterproof Fishfinder (Electronics)
I had a really hard time finding this particular unit in stock, but after several vendors told me they didn't have it, I finally was able to find it here. I've had it mounted on my Hobie Kayak for about a month now and it seems to be working well. At least the depth part is working fine. As far as being a fish finder, I have to say that it hasn't helped me land any fish yet. I've yet to see any of the telltale arcs like you see in the documentation, but I'll keep trying it. As far as sensitivity and noise-reduction capability I'd have to say it must work pretty well, I was able to identify my lure on the screen and watch it go up and down as I fed out line, so that is pretty impressive. I haven't figured out how to use the GPS part yet, the included map is not very high resolution and doesn't correspond to the body of water I've tried it on, and it is not obvious how to set markers to return to. Overall, I'd say it does a good job, the screen is super nice, bright and easy to read, the menu system works well, so I give high marks to that part of it. The build is solid and the mounting bracket is well made.

Great product for the money. I bought one several years back and put it on my jon boat. I liked it so much that when I bought a larger boat I decided to put the same unit on it. If you are looking for a unit that is simple to operate, dependable, and will take you where you want to go and bring you back, this is it. Never failed me.
