Ideal for open boats and small steering consoles, the Lowrance M68C S/Map 3.5-inch fishfinder offers highly detailed hydrographic mapping up to 600 feet deep. The M68C uses a 12-parallel-channel GPS+WAAS receiver with an internal antenna for navigation and a 200 kHz Skimmer sonar to measure depth. The GPS is up for any adventure, with the ability to store up to 1,000 waypoints and 1,000 event markers, all laid on top of a special built-in U.S. hydrography map. With the GPS, you can plot complex trails (up to 10,000 points) and save up to 100 of your favorite routes.

The sonar, meanwhile, includes three alarms: one that sounds when it detects fish, one for minimum depth, and one for maximum depth. As you cruise on the water, the sonar reads the bottom topography and displays it on the fishfinder's high-brightness 3.5-inch color monitor, so you'll know exactly what's swimming below. The monitor is crisp and colorful, with a 256-color, 1/4 VGA active-matrix TFT LCD build and an impressive 320 x 240 resolution.

Other features include white LED backlighting, FasTrack and Ping Speed HyperScroll functions, a temperature display, a man overboard feature, and a built-in backup memory. The M68C S/Map fishfinder is suitable for both salt and freshwater environments.
