Loya to Tiger Lou,

After Tiger Lou's other album 'Is My Head Still On' I was hoping for some growth, and that's what I got. 'The Loyal' shows a lot more maturity and music knowhow. The songs fit together and flow much better, and obvious improvement is evident. Tiger Lou still retains his more meloncholy feel with well-honed immediate recognizability in the title track 'The Loyal.' Like 'Is My Head Still On' this album's listenability improves the more you hear it. It's an album for a very particular mood, yet if you posess this album when in that mood it's worth the world. This album is meloncholy, it is a rainy day... it could almost be relaxing if it wasn't so haunting. I think that any song collection should have at least a few tracks from this cd. I didn't give this album 5 stars as it's not versatile enough yet it still retains its playability and originality. For some reason Tiger Lou really feels like, to me, Muse's angsty little brother on depressants and a diet.
