Wake Up People, This Album Is Dope!!!, July 6, 2001
This review is from: Loyalty (Audio CD)
Screwball's album is banging from beginning to end. Even tho Primo didn't supply any phoned in beats this time, production's tite and the rhymes are on point. Guest appearances (uh huh, even NORE's) make sense, especially G Rap's and MOP's. Cormega's turn on the title song is REALLY GOOD!
So yes, there is still dope hip hop out there, you just gotta know not to search for it on the radio. Screwball are not that cute looking, so they probly won't get that much play as far as mainstream magazines are concerned and their music is too good for MTV and HOT 97. But hey, it took MOP almost 10 years to get recognized, so maybe Screwball has a shot. They totally deserve it.

One of the tightest albums this year!, August 25, 2001
This review is from: Loyalty (Audio CD)
I copped this album without listening to it first, and when I put it in my CD player it really caught my attention from the first till the last track. Screwball proves once again why they should be named QB's finest, because they bring the real uncut grimy street hiphop that many of the others have forgotten about. It's also a good thing to see a group continue on the same quality level as their debut, which is a considerable point these days...The production is way above average throughout the whole album and personally, I couldn't find a wack track amongst them. With bulletproof production from Ayatollah, Godfather Don and others, and even a Beatnuts track, this is a prime example of what REAL thug-music should sound like (and even with DJ. Premier being absent this time). Add a few top-notch guest appearances like the mighty Kool G. Rap, M.O.P., Noreaga, Cormega, Nature and others, and you'll end up being more than satisfied with this album. I can safely say that, if you liked their first album; you'll surely like this one! QB TO THE FULLEST!

2nd group LP is a solid one, September 15, 2005
This review is from: Loyalty (Audio CD)
Just over a year since their classic debut the 4 man QB group is back. Like most of the reviewers said, not as good as "Y2K" (not many albums are as it's one of the 5 best rap albums ever in my opinion) but still a solid 4 star album. For fans of Screwball you know what to expect, pure grimy steet gangsta rap, nothing else (what do you expect from QueensBridge). Packed with 16 songs, you get 2 classics, another 2 that are almost classics, 4 ok songs, and the other 8 are good or great songs. Once again the guest list is straight street rappers like their debut, and they're on about half the songs. Once again each member drops a tight solo song. Production is good as well. Godfather Don does 6 songs, Ayatollah does 4, Mike Heron, SPK, Beatnuts and 3 cats I never heard of all do 1 song. Once again a must have for fans of that QB street rap.
