The Doll is a charming fairy-tale farce for all ages. Just as amusing today as when it was made. Younger children will especially love it. Lovely and still-enjoyable piece of cinematic history.

Charm and vitality that are the mark of Lubitsch films are all in this collection.
So much more enjoyable than much of what passes for entertainment today. What can you say about a filmmaker who described dancing as " an epidemic of foxtrot". So charming!
