The Lubro-Moly Motor Protect is added to the oil AFTER oil changes. 500 ml is sufficient for up to 5 quarts of engine oil. Even adding the product to special low friction fully-synthetic energy-conserving oils reduces wear by a further 35%. With a long term effect that lasts up to approximately 31 miles (keep to the oil change intervals stipulated by the manufacturer).
