Not what I expected... When I got the boots they were, well black. They were kind of tacky unless your into white or black denim (literally was going to put them in the box and send them back). However, what I did do is work in some brown shoe polish to the bottom portion of the boot. After polishing them several times to get to the shade I wanted they developed this beautiful brownish black patina and are gorgeous! They look like they are 50 years old with a stylish flair. I get complemented on these all the time, and they are about as comfortable of a boot (out of the box) as I have ever owned. Would highly recommend these - with some slight easy to do modification (i.e., brown liquid kiwi shoe polish and some elbow grease).

I got the N3547 and N1115, and both are really awesome! They truly look great, and you can see the fine workmanship put into these shoes. I have been getting many compliments on the street and among friends with these shoes. I had these shoes shipped to Asia and promptly received them one day before scheduled arrival date. I highly recommend these shoes and shopping with Amazon!

I ordered these boots on the morning of April 4th., and received them on the afternoon of the 7th. Can't beleive how fast they arrived. As for the boots, I tried them on this morning, and they fit like a glove for your feet. The fit, the color, the style and material is second to none. Went out for a walk with them on and there was no heel slipage or any complaints of any kind. Broken in right away. After 9 pair of cowboy boots, these are the best yet. I can see another pair of Lucchese in my near future. Thanks for such great service.

One of the best boots I got fits perfectly, shipping was great and workmen ship is great. There are some stitching problems but not that bad, I am happy with me and will be getting some other boots from them again

I'm not a boot guy. I know nothing about construction or durability, just style. Every time I wear these boots, I get compliments; from total strangers even. They're comfortable (although I needed to wear them a few times to break them in. Nothing unexpected) and fun. If you're looking for a stylish boot that fits well, go no further.

Excellent product. I love these boots and highly recommend these boots. I am already shopping for another pair in black. They are top knotch!

Been wanting a pair of 1883's for a while but haven't had the right price and the right boot. Any Lucchese for under $200 is a good deal.

Packaging was perfect with supports in the boots in all the right places.
Construction of the boots are amazing.
They honestly feel like I have worn them for a week the first time after I put them on.
Break in period lasted all of 2 days and they are just perfect.

They are a perfect addition to my ever growing boot collection. For $194 this boot is amazing.
