Book Description

November 1, 2010

As Amy Goodman writes in this take-no-prisoners blockbuster of investigative journalism: “Going to where the silence is. That is the responsibility of a journalist: giving a voice to those who have been forgotten, forsaken, and beaten down by the powerful.” And as Publishers Weekly remarked, the book’s “analysis of Iraq War contracts won by certain key Bush campaign donors will open many eyes, not only with its neat comparison of donation amount with contract value but also with its bold presentation of ‘Crony Connections.’”

Amy Goodman is the host of the daily radio and television program Democracy Now!, which is carried on more than five hundred stations and at http://wwwdemocracynow.org.

David Goodman is an award-winning investigative journalist, author of six books, and a contributing writer for Mother Jones.
