5.0 out of 5 stars Vocally this is the PERFECT Lucia!
There has never been another Lucia who was able to outsing Callas' LEGENDARY live-performance from Mexico. FLAWLESS from beginning to the end! High notes like rockets, LASER-LIKE coloratura, the BEST phrasing (ESp. compared to Sutherland)... BEAUTIFUL, FASCINATING... The most GORGEOUS Lucia!

The character is not yet as multi-dimensional as Callas would later make her, and the nuances of later performances are not there. The voice is still too heavy. As a document of her early career, this recording is important, but due to the poor sound, lackluster conducting and horrible compremari, not very easy to listen to.
