Sutherland is the most famous Lucia of our time. And hearing this disc will show you why. She is not quite in as great form here as in her earlier Lucia, which was the best Lucia recording I've ever heard. Sutherland's phenomenal technique, is legendary, as illustrated here.Pavorotti is superb of course as her doomed lover.
