Book Description

March 3, 2009
"It's called lucid dreaming. When you become aware that your dream is a dream, while you're actually dreaming it." Lucid dreaming. It sounded an intriguing enough prospect. A prospect worth giving a go. Why not? And, sure enough, Sloane's first journey into this heralded other-world does not disappoint. A dream unlike any she has ever experienced engulfs her. Swallows her whole. The thrill, however, comes quickly to an end, when Sloane finds herself gazing into her neighbor's apartment. And what she sees there, in a shadowed, secret room, will haunt her from that moment forward.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lucid, May 23, 2009
This review is from: Lucid (Kindle Edition)
Lucid is a tale about Sloane, a college co-ed who begins to have these dreams about her strange neighbor. The dreams lead her to believe he is up to some very shady dealings with young girls. Against her friends warnings Sloane begins to do some amature detective work and what she stumbles on to will leave you turning page after page.

Katherine Yeboah is a talented writer who can paint that vivid picture with words very eloquently. The plot is a page turner and will leave saying at the end, "Boy, I didn't see that coming!" Nice job Katherine.

First of all, this is not a book. It's more like a novella. It really should have been a short story.

Well, actually, it should have remained unwritten.

Poor formatting for the Kindle - With symbols instead of opening quotes.

Elementary writing style.

Bad story line; poor plotting.

Save your money. Wanna try a good self-published scary novel instead, try some by J.A. Konrath. Good writing, good plots and good editing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story for people who are interested in dreams, March 25, 2009
This review is from: Lucid (Kindle Edition)
Lucid is about a pretty student called sloane and her college friends. They live in L.A. and they like to go out and drink and party. But Sloane's fun lifestyle is interrupted when she starts messing around with a technique called Lucid Dreaming. She soon regrets it, because she starts having horrible nightmares that her neighbor Mr Phillips is a violent kidnapper. sloane's friends keep telling her not to worry, they are only dreams and they are not important. But Sloane isn't so sure, especially when Mr Phillips starts acting strange in real life. Sloane becomes convinced that her dreams are trying to warn her about something that actually happened, and she will stop at nothing to try and prove it.
I really liked this story. The writer uses some pretty unusual words so you might need to keep a dictionary handy! However, I enjoyed the twists and turns in Lucid and the ending blew me away! This is a good book for people like me who have had crazy dreams and wondered if the information in dreams actually means something or not.
