Got this one used off amazon. It does have a nice sound and the nylon strings are easy on the fingers. Great guitar for anyone just starting because of it's price and it's small enough for those with small hands. For the price it is very nice. Well pleased.

Alright, the thirty-five dollar guitar cant be compared to a Taylor or Martin guitar. That said, this is a really good guitar for the price. This would be great for a teen or an adult who wants to learn or relearn guitar.Pro's: -Price -Sounds good -Front is a normal wood(not composite as the picture might suggest) -shipped here in 48 hours Con's: -had to re-string the high-e string (didn't break but was loose) -a few tiny black specks on the front near the bottom -varnish chipped in the back of the neck (1/4th of a inch)

My hubby's full size acoustic guitar seemed too big for my 12 year old daughter and myself, so I hesitated buying her a full size one. Also, the steel strings hurt my fingers.I didn't understand that there were three different guitar types - acoustic, electrical, and classical. I thought there was only acoustic and electric. This classical guitar is smaller to get your arms around, and the nylon strings are WAY easier on new fingers. This guitar is just perfect for my 12 year old, and the 3/4 one is perfect for my 8 year old. I imagine he will be ready for the full size around 10 or 11. Their fingers still hurt after a while, but not nearly as bad as with the steel strings. Using the Alfred children's guitar lesson book, they start using only the 3 nylon strings. By the time they start using the bottom 3 steel strings their fingers are a little toughened up. I am short, 5'3" and have small hands. Hubby's guitar was way too big for me, but after playing on this guitar that I gave my daughter, I have ordered one for myself also. The strings got out of tune constantly for about the first 5 - 6 days, but now that they have had time to stretch out, they stay in tune pretty well. Hubby says that's normal with new nylon strings, so don't worry about that. With lots of play, the strings will be fine. It looks beautiful, and sounds really nice to me. And my hubby, who is a musician and has a very expensive Taylor guitar says, that for it being a starter guitar it sound very nice and is well worth the fifty dollar price. I recommend Alfred guitar lesson book, a guitar stand, and electronic tuner to go along with this book.

First off, let's get some perspective here. This is a thirty dollar student guitar. It rates 4 stars compared to other low end guitars. It could not be compared to a 4 star rated Concert Gibson.I had been practicing on a light, cheap Mexican guitar that appeared to have been made expressly for selling to tourists in souvenir shops. In comparison the Lucida compares very favorably. The box weighs about 40% more than the Mexican guitar. The tone is pleasant with no buzzing strings. The neck is the correct angle with the strings at the proper space from the frets.(The frets on my old guitar looked like they were hand made from brass rod, with a hammer and a file)like all new guitars and strings, It will have to be re tuned often until the strings get bedded in. What I was not expecting was the quality of finish on the box. It is a beautiful, high gloss coating virtually devoid of imperfections. All in all, a nice starter guitar that is capable of making beautiful music further down the road. The only problem is you may want to save it from the student to use as wall art.

I love this guitar its great for beginners or a replacement guitar until you save up for a more expensive one. great for practising everyday. have had it for a month, did get out of tune for first 2 weeks after it was played but now the strings are stretched enough that its almost always tuned. I love playing classical guitar, the strings are great for the price, doesn't look like i need to buy new ones for a while. if your wondering which classical guitar to get, you need to buy this!!

I bought this when it was offered for ~$30 here on Amazon, about 1 year ago from this review. For the price it works great. It holds its tuning reasonably well, the neck is stiff enough, none of the strings buzz in any of the fretted positions, the fret ends don't cut you (no sharp ends sticking out with burrs). The workmanship and finish is good, no glaring errors. It sounds fine to me, but I am just a hack guitar player, so take this for what its worth. For $30, and for me being an advanced beginner wanting a classical guitar, it has been a great purchase.

The guitar itself is fine. In fact it appears to be the same one that the school has in the classroom so it's no trouble at all for my daughter to use the school guitar some days. My daughter is in 7th grade and a few inches shy of five feet tall to give you an idea of what size "student" this is geared for. I was very confused because while shopping I found "student" guitars range from preschoolers all the way up to my daughter/small adults. My biggest complaint is the nylon gig bag AMAZON RECOMMENDS HERE. DO NOT BUY IT - it doesn't fit the guitar. Not even close.

This is a beautiful looking guitar, slightly smaller than standard - which is great for my petite 16 year-old daughter. The tuning pegs need almost constant tweeking, but that has been true of all 3 guitars I've bought new.** Important note - there is no peg to attach a strap to this guitar. I purchased a strap to go with it, and will have to return the strap or have the guitar altered to accommodate it. We've only been using it for a week, but this guitar seems like a good value.

really good start up guitar. got it for my girlfriend for chirstmas. she loves it. she also has fairly small hands. she can't do bar chords yet, but i think its possible.really good guitar for what its worth. it takes a while for the strings to stretch to stay in tune, which is understandable for any new guitar strings placed on. had a wierd industrial smell when it was opened im guessing from the staining process. overall, id recommend this to anyone just starting out.

This is a $50 guitar. Take that into consideration and you'll probably be happy with it. The strings do buzz a bit, and while far from ugly, it is not the most beautiful classical guitar I've ever seen. However the guitar plays perfectly fine. I've even used it on recordings for school projects, and it sounded clear and beautiful. I think the Lucida LK-2 would make a perfect starter guitar, although if the player is younger (or perhaps just doesn't have large hands like myself) they will probably want to go 3/4 size or smaller; the necks on these things are extremely wide. Also I should mention that it takes about a week for the strings to stay in tune. During the first few days of playing, they will go out of tune constantly. But after that it stays in tune pretty well. I typically use a capo and I still don't have to re tune it often.
