Jeffery Martin's first effort is beyond the pail. He must be somewhat twisted to write such a detailed account of fictional murder and intrigue.

What a phenomenal thriller! This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Beautifully detailed, scary, wonderful characters who have depth - very well done! A must read!!!!!

Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lamb has found a new partner! I read all the time and I cant wait for a sequel. I always look for new authors and this guy is going to be worth keeping my eye on!

Love it or hate it, you simply must read this book for yourself. Lucifer's Calling was such a wonderfully spellbinding book, I had to buy one for myself! I could not put it down. Jeff Martin, you are a wonderful writer and I can't wait to read more from you!!!!

dont waste your money on this one. very dry read, not very believable, honestly i couldnt even finish it. i read the other reviews and the people that think its great must either know this guy or were paid for thier comments.

This book was bad from the beginning. I am in constant search of new Mystery/Suspence authors that write captivating material. I wanted to write an unbiased review, as so far the only reviews were written by the author and the publisher. I cannot believe this book ever got published, and it really makes we wonder about the publishing company and the quality of other authors they publish. A good mystery flows from chapter to chapter. I felt that this novel was written without any research, and it seemed like this author has never read a mystery/thriller or even watched CSI on TV. Dialogue was hard to read and cheesy, and there were an abundance of grammatical errors. The characters were undeveloped, and I am not sure whether the killer or detective was meant to be the main character. The ending was very disappointing. Who has ever written anything so devasting involving the main(?) character? Congratulations to the author for getting published: this should encourage literally anyone who wants to write that they can get published.

Even while reading Mr. Martin's query letter, the staff here at Vanilla Heart Publishing became extremely excited at the quality of his writing and we were not disappointed when he sent the full manuscript! Fabulous thriller, amazing detective murder mystery, with superbly honed crime scenes and well-written backstory. A Must Read!

This book had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Lucifer is diabolical and intriguing both in the same breath. This is a must-by for the fans of thriller and suspense.
