This review is from: Lucifer's Lover (Hardcover)
Don't let the title throw you, this is a romance and a very good one at that! Betting with Lucifer by Tracy Cooper-Posey has just been re-released in ebook format Dec 10th. This is the story of Lyndsey and Lucifer (Luke), co-workers, rivals and lovers. Lyndsey has a few issues, trying to live up to her mother's memories and achievements only aiming to surpass them she has been a little more than disturbed with the presents of Luke at the hotel. Luke is from NY, the newest addition to the Freeman Hotel and the office ladies man, a mystery, a charmer and is kicking her butt in their sales numbers......almost! In the opening scene Luke sets her up to fail on a bet just to get a date with her. As much as I wanted to scream, what a slime Luke charmed me too. There was already something wounded about him and knew that I just wanted to read more and dig deeper to find out what made Luke tick. Lyndsey on the other had I understood, brilliant on her own right but in the wrong profession and for all the wrong reasons, a woman who gets anxiety attacks from public speaking is in charge of Marketing and client relations? What I did adore about her is that she couldn't help but say what came to her mind. Filter not included! Needless to say she loses the bet and from that moment their fates are set in motion. Luke carries so many dark secrets, who is he really, why does he disappear to NYC every weekend and what is he doing? Lyndsey can't help but want to dive right in and discover what makes Luke tick. What is the deal with his past and that eclectic family she keeps hearing about. Something just isn't quite right. Forgiving him for tricking her into the bet in the first place they are once again at odds until both learn trust. Watching them grow together and learn about who they were and what they truly meant to each other was so heartfelt as both Luke and Lyndsey come to realize that the lives they have so strategically planned out for themselves aren't making them happy, but completely miserable. Tracy was able to pull me in as though I was experiencing all their joys and struggles with them, both Luke and Lyndsey's emotions so candid and raw. A roller coaster of anger, fear, passion and love I was simply swept away.

Awesome Romance You Won't Want To Miss!!!, December 29, 2005
This review is from: Lucifer's Lover (Hardcover)
Ms. Cooper-Posey has done it again! "Lucifer's Lover" is an emotionally vested romance between two people who think they know what they want. Fact is they truly have no clue until fate forces them to face them to take a cold hard look at what's important. Lyndsay is working hard to achieve the professional goals she's set for herself. She's hard working, determined, and failure is not an option. She is well on her way to seeing these goals met until someone throws her a curve, and that curve is none other than Luke. Luke irritates Lyndsay to no end! Now they're working together not as boss and co-worker, but instead as equals. Together they make things happen and allow the chemistry that's been slowly burning in the background to move center stage. But, what will happen between them when things don't go according to plan, and life actually has the nerve to get in the way? Will Lyndsay take a chance and reach for happiness, or will Luke's secrets and personal fears keep them from finding a love of a lifetime? Lyndsay and Luke are exceptionally drawn characters. Ms. Cooper-Posey is a master at creating character's a reader will truly care about. She's not afraid to create a lead character that's not "perfect" in every way. Both Lyndsay and Luke have their own share of emotional baggage that has gone a long way into forming the adults they've become. The conflict between Lyndsay and Luke is not only believable but also entertaining. As a result the reader is treated to a well-choreographed dance between two people looking for love, acceptance, and a happy ending. Ms. Cooper-Posey writes with heart and is a gift to the writing industry. Official Reviewer for Romance Designs
