Introducing Lucinda Moore!!!!,
This review is from: Lucinda Moore (Audio CD)
Here's a name you won't forget!!!
Lucinda has hit the ground running and hasn't stopped yet. I will tell you that when you get started with this CD, you will find it hard to put down. Lucinda is truly gifted and anointed while she ministers LIVE songs like "Praise Him", "Already Done" and the smash single "Pressure Into Praise". This will give you a spiritual uplift that will cause you to respond with joy, singing and dancing. The CD project has a great flow and doesn't disappoint. When you get to the "Church Medley", I declare you will hit REPEAT!!!

I bought this album because I heard her sing at the homecoming service for Marvin Sapp's wife (and she sounded great!), and because of the strong customer reviews of the album.
Having said that, this album is not that good. There is only one good song, in my opinion, and it is.....just alright. The album is not produced or mastered very well, and the lead and background vocals are not very polished. Don't get me wrong, Lucinda can sing - it is just that she....tries too hard at times on this album. She misses at least one note on literally EVERY SONG. I am not saying that to sound critical, I am saying that make a point that for me, personally, I do not like when singers that can clearly sing well, try to....over sing songs with unnecessary runs and vocal acrobatics - it does not add anything of value for me, it merely distracts, and that is the feel of this entire album.

Wow can I first just say that for a choir of I think 6 people? it looked like from the video The voices were so powerful in each song! It's just incredible what you can do with a small choir. I have listened to this album over 50 times. The first song is excellent a great introduction song to the album! The next too are great and then the hit song off the album "Pressure Into Praise" comes next! That was one of the best songs in the album. Then the next song is a great version of Balm In Gilead I liked how they did it. And then next another great song off the album "Jesus Is Real" can I just say that, that is one of the best songs I have ever heard. The choir just reached those notes. And then the album took you into another great song Already Done which I though was just unavailable. I love Darly Coley the choir again was really powerful in this song. Then the album takes you into a hynm "Live and not Die" (breathtaking! It was excellent!) And then finally another great song off the album "Holy" I wish got more attention. It was just excellent I like how they did it and had the sopranos altos and tenors mix in with each other a little bit. Very nice uplifting song! I felt like I went to heave for a few min when I first heard it. :)
And then the album takes us into a well known gospel song "Safe in his Arms" (also made famous by Vicikie Winans) It was excellent however i was a little disappointed because they cut out the choirs strongest part in the song. So I have to watch the video to get spiritually moved for this one. But it was still excellent! Again what a great choir. And the she sings another well known traditional gospel song "Old Rugged Cross". Very nicely done. and for the finale song she leaves with another amazing gospel medley "Livin He Loved Me, Feel Like Pressin My Way etc" which will have you dancing on the way out from your home or your church or anywhere! lol. This is one of the best gospel albumns I own! I'm so glad I came across this. I also loved her new one! and I hope she does more. Coagulations Lucinda! Hope you continue to minister and to worship God with your music! God Bless You!
