Ive tried 1 receipt The Steam Clams they were excellant. Through out the book all receipts are very simple and the food items are easy to find. I like cookbooks like this one.

We've made several recipes from this book and they were all excellent and quite easy.

It's such a pleasure to read a cookbook that gives clear, easy to follow directions, for classic recipes. Even the least adventuresome will be inspired to try dishes they'd only heard about from friends, gushing the praises of carefully guarded family recipes. I bought this book after seeing the author on TV. The recipes are fairly simple and simply delicious!

I love Lucinda's shows on TV and Radio! The recipe for Linguini and Clams Sauce is fantastic! Her recipe for Chicken Romano will change your idea of breaded white meat chicken. That recipe alone is work the price of the book. This book is would be a great gift for the newbie cook as well as the experienced. Simple and full of flavor!Lucinda's Rustic Italian Kitchen

Good Italian cookbook. Small, nice pictures and simple and easy directions. Very authentic recipes. I made the gnocchi the other nite and they were THE BEST I have ever had in my life, even better than what I have had in restaurants-they simply melted in your mouth and were as light as a feather. The only reason I didn't give the book a 5* is because sometimes the recipes are too brief-for example when making the gnocchi, she said the texture should be like pizza dough. Well, I had pizza dough texture after only using less than half of the required flour for the recipe! She didn't say "you may not need all the flour etc" so I was a bit worried about how they would come out because I didn't use all the flour! I would have just appreciated more information-I found myself checking my other Italian cookbooks to for guidance...
I also purchased this book as a gift for my brother in law and he absolutely loved it.
I would recommend this book for the price and recipes.

I watch Lucinda on television and knew that her book would be down-to-earth as her shows. It is very helpful and creative. It is evident that she has had lots of experience creating recipes and cooking.

All of her recipes not only taste good, but they are easy to prepare. I enjoy reading about her family.
