Product Description

Lucini originates in the hillside estates of central Italy 300-500 meters above sea level. Here the olive trees date back over 100 years and the soil and microclimate conditions are ideal for growing the best olives. What Makes Lucini Taste So Good?"Extra Virgin" is a chemical term that does not assure quality or taste. Any olive meeting a chemical requirement of less than 1% acidity can be labeled "extra virgin." To assure quality and taste, we handpick at precisely the right time and press our olives within 24 hours of harvest. Using only the most care-for olives, we are able to naturally produce a delicious olive oil with less than 1/2 the acidity of regular extra virgin. Naturally achieved low acidity, quality and taste is Lucini Premium Select Extra Virgin Olive Oil. How to Judge Extra Virgin Olive Oil?Lucini has a defined body & firmness - Unlike thin and runny regular extra virgin that separates, Lucini binds with ingredients absorbing and enhancing the flavors present in your cooking.Lucini has a fresh & natural aroma - Entirely unlike a processed or manufactured smell.Lucini has a balanced taste - "Green" and almond-like, with a momentary, distinct peppery finish found in natural, fresh olive fruit. Lucini's authentic flavor confirms that nothing is added, nothing is taken away

This is the best olive oil you can get. It's bright green and finishes with a pleasant hint of pepper. Until you have tried a premium brand like Lucini, you really won't know what you are missing.

We put this oil in sprayers, we use it for dipping, sauces, just about everything. When you use the best ingredients, you get the best results. You'll find yourself cooking simple food and loving it.

If you are concerned about the price, go to Lucini's website and buy the EcoValue box. You get roughly 3 litres (100 ounces) for $50 - when you buy the larger box, the price isn't much different than junk oil you get at the grocery store. Plus the box remains air tight so the oil is fresher, longer.

I saw a taste test on a cooking show and this one was the winner. I had to hunt iT down but it is the best tasting olive oil I have ever had. I cooked garlic asparagus in it and my family was raving about it. Its really good! Worth the price

I found this in my local supermarket (publix - Ilive in FL) for $11.99 if you can believe it. At that price, has to be the best deal on an estate grown olive oil out there. Clean olive taste, low acidity (very mild sensation in back of throat, no burning!)
They make a similarly priced 10 yr old balsamic too. Gotta try it!

Phil

This is a very good oil, but, the Lucini Limited Reserve is even better and can easily be found in multiple bottle cases for a similar price. This is an award winning (New York) product with mildly peppery finish and smooth, intense olive flavor. I highly recommend everyone try a premium oil at some time to experience the vast superiority of flavor and texture - far better than the "normal" products found in local super markets.

Lucini became my staple EVOO more than a decade ago, and still ranks head and shoulders above the rest. Very knowledgeable cooks have taken my advice and switched to Lucini. As long as this remains available in the US at a reasonable price, and quality holds up, I'm staying in the Lucini camp.

I currently have the three top rated (by the leading rating publication) plus what I call "sale oil". I use the latter for frying. The top one I use in my squirter . This one I use for salad dressings and where I want the subtle delicious taste to enhance the flavor. The third I use as a back up. This one I have to pretty much hide from my wife because she'll use it for every thing because she's so fond of it. I would never have tried it because of the price if I hadn't found it being discontinued and marked down. Now I'll gladly pay full price because there's no equal in our house.
