First time listener/forever hooked!,

Like the other reviewer this was my first time buying one of Rosey's records and assure you it won't be my last. She has a very distinct, beautiful voice. My favorite track would have to be "Those Eyes". It's very catchy and I love the lyrics. This record definitely exceeded my expectations. Great purchase that won't disappoint.

I first heard Rosey when watching "Bridget Jones's Diary" , which featured her song "Love". Been a fan ever since. Great voice, beautiful music. I highly recommend this CD and this artist!

This album was my first time hearing Rosey's music and I am in love! Her sultry voice is unique and perfectly fit to her smooth jazz sound. The music is all her own with sounds of jazz as well as club, pop and even traces of trip-hop. The songs like "Love" and "It's A Ruse" are strong tracks and probably my favorites. I think fans of Amy Winehouse as well as those who prefer classic pop standards like Michael Buble will find something very enjoyable in Rosey.

Welcome Back Rosey,

This is an excellent cd and a long awaited follow-up to her 1st cd, which I think was in 2002. Unlike her 1st cd, this cd has more of a night club jazz feel to it than a pop feel to it. The songs range from fun fun fun to heartbreaking and every good place in between. Rosey's distinctive voice and phrasing make every song enjoyable. And the lyrics are very good. My favorites are the fun fun fun songs: Those Eyes and The Old Fashioned Way. The band is quirky and fun too. I highly recommend this cd.

Sultry, Upbeat Groove,

I was asked to review a copy of Rosey's Luckiest Girl for SuperWeddings.com readers, and it didn't disappoint. Little did I know at the time that I'd actually heard Rosey's vocals before - on the soundtrack to the hit movie "Bridget Jones' Diary" starring Renée Zellweger.
Rosey's sultry and seductive vocals, combined with mostly upbeat tunes, make this album a great choice for background music during cocktail hour at a wedding, or at a hip and fashionable stand-up reception. Recommended for the couple who loves Jazz and prefers to do things with their own signature style, rather than following the masses. If you want to give your wedding its own unique groove and treat your guests to something new to hear in place of the typical "same-old, same- old", this is an album to add to your play list. |
