Thin and flimsy.

Nowhere in the original page and descriptions does it say they are CARPET sleds, only on my order confirmation email.

My 11 year-old son used this sled for the first time and after 3 hours of sledding the bottom of the sled had several rips in it and one of the handles broke off. Snow packs under the buttons that anchor the handles on the bottom of the sled and eventually the buttons break off and the handle is gone. For the price, I would have hoped the sled would have lasted an entire season and not just for 3 hours!

We found these to be unusable. The material is so thin and flexible that even a small child (40 lbs.) flexes the "sled" horribly. These carpet sleds are just a thin sheet of closed cell foam bonded to a very thin layer of glossy plastic, total thickness of maybe 1/4 inch. They can be rolled up easily and have almost no rigidity. We actually took the sleds back in the house and cut the corrugated boxes in which they were shipped in two and had a much better result. It is possible that on ice or very well packed snow these might perform adequately for smaller riders, but I believe a more rigid sled is what we need. I'm not sure what I thought the word "carpet" in the product description referred to, but now I realize that it's a synonym for flimsy.

This is a fair sled. One of the two which I bought was destroyed on the first day of sledding with an 7, 5, and 3 year old. The bottom does not hold up at all. It is very overpriced for its durability.

I bought this for each of my boys for Christmas as a starter sled, figuring I'd buy them a better one as they got into sledding. This sled wouldn't let them get into it. Other kids were flying down the hill, while my guys glided down slowly. It seems like, because this sled is so thin (about 1/4"), there's too much direct body contact and not enough weight distribution. Whatever the reason, this sled is slow. The only plus is that they are lightweight.

Bought it for the Grands, along with a couple of other types of sleds. The kids tried to use this but said it was too flimsy. Every time the tried to slide down the snowy hill, the front bent down and kind of dug into the snow and stopped them after only a couple of feet. The other sleds worked great!

Thin and flimsy. Not what I was expecting. Returned and found one that I wanted. I think the picture is very misleading and the description is definitely misleading.
