(Don't know why the item keeps showing up as Pink, small, oh well)
Ordered this for my son and would not recommend the small for a child older than 4 and the large for a child older than 6 or they may not get more than a year's use. Didn't realize the sizing was youth so my first purchase was a small, tan. Returned it for the large size expecting there to be some room for growth, but it barely fit. My son is 8 and about 70lbs. We needed it for a school drama so the one time use we got out of it was acceptable.

This is a very cute fishing vest and my granddaughter was delighted with it. We ordered a large because reviews indicated they came rather small. Our granddaughter is a size 5 and it looks like the large will fit her for a couple years.

The vest is sturdy while lightweight. A plethora of pockets is always nice, especially when you can zip them up. Size-wise, the Youth Large is not as small as I was lead to believe by some reviews. It's way too big for my 5 year old daughter. But that's a reflection on the reviews and not the vest.
