I received these skis and put them on my 3 1/2 yr old. We had snow on the ground for a couple days so it wasnt to powdery, perfect for skiing I thought. They worked ok. You can't really slide down a slope with these, its more like walking with them attached to your foot. They say that it fits any size snow boot, but her toddler sz 7 snow boots wouldnt fit so I had to use her tennis shoes, which weren't waterproof so she only would play with them for bits at a time. The back rubber heel piece isnt attached to the ski so when they try to pick the ski up its hard for them, so I took some zip ties to attach the back foot piece to the ski, so she has more control with them.

We bought these skis for our 2 year old - not to necessarily 'ski' but to get used to the idea of having skis on. We x-country ski a lot, and he has seen us ski, so as soon as he saw his own pair he thought they were the coolest thing ever... so we had a bit of a jump start there. They are very easy to get on and off. If you strap them down tight, they stay on very well, even through small tumbles. Having the poles are great - I wasn't sure at first for a 2 yr old, but now I am very glad we have them. The poles help our son march around on his skis. They are just the right length for the little ones. I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants to get their very young one acquainted with skis.

These were great for my three year old. They are light enough and tough enough. Boots stay securely in the bindings and are a great introduction to moving in skis. The only problem I had was that two buckles are removable and tend to fall off when the boots are not in the skis. Just keep an eye on them if you removed the skis in the snow.

I was a little hesitant to purchase these since they seemed to be for little kids 4-6 yr olds, but My 7 & 8 year old saw snow for the first time this year and they worked great for them. We don't even use the poles. We work on balance and learning how to climb a hill. Several reviews complained about the kid's boots falling out of the skis but we haven't experience that. Great buy before you invest in the real thing!

My daughter has spent hours cruising around on these 'skis'. Honestly, they are more like ski shaped snowshoes than skis. The point was to get her comfortable in having two long boards strapped to her feet. Should be noted that the ski resorts will probably NOT let your kid on the slopes because these skis DO NOT have metal edges.

I ordered these for my 17 month old daughter. It arrived just in time for a blizzard. I give it 5 stars based on the fun value. To watch my daughter take to the backyard in these skis are the most satisfying feeling. I felt like she was in the Olympics. Function and quality aside (who cares). The fun I had with my little girl was well worth every cent. Highly recommend. The only thing is, they could have offered it in pink...

Skis are great and the poles are quite heavy. I bought these for a 1.5 yr old to start learning how to ski. He has already used the poles. Can't wait to see his progress on these. Thank you for fast shipping! A++

We bought these skies for our 21 month old daughter for Christmas. The skies are fine, but the bindings need some perfection. Most of the time a two year old will only stand on skies like this. Don't expect a kid to do a cross country hike. When our daughter tried to walk along just a little bit, her boots would come out. I think the strap is too slippery and won't stay tight. The strap is also pretty long so it would get in the way for anyone actually wanting and being able to move along. The poles are cute, but at 20 some months it was hard for our daughter to grip the poles with her mittens on.We will try them again next year. It was a fun alternative to sledding and since she has older siblings who ski it was fun for her to have her own. I would say that at this age it is more a toy than a tool. |
