Bullseye Blues, November 15, 2009
This review is from: Lucky in Love-the Best of (Audio CD)
I've had the honor of sharing the stage and the studio with this man he is the real deal and these recordings culled together form his many CD's are all top notch. Rick's not only one of the best blues guitar players out there, he is also a fine vocalist and songwriter. He knows exactly how to deliver a song and these tracks really show off his amazing talent. From the jumpy "Bluestown" to the car crash classic "Long Black Car," Rick delivers both with soul. As a former member of Fleetwood Mac and as a current member of Mick Fleetwood's Blues Band Rick has all the credentials he needs to pull off Peter Green's "I Loved Another Woman." If you love the blues, if you love great song writing, if you love great rock and roll, give this one a spin!

A Lot to Like on This......, March 30, 2011
This review is from: Lucky in Love-the Best of (Audio CD)
After listening and enjoying Rick Vito on Mick Fleetwood's Blues Band live recording, I thought I would explore his other albums. To my surprise, I found a treasure trove of good blues, fun latin-tinged songs and ballads with strong guitar and vocal work throughout.
My favorites on this album are Rhumba Diablo, I Do Believe, I Loved Another Woman, Homework and Feels Just Like Home. Also I liked his "Band Box Boogie" album with treats like The Ways of Sin, A Message from Mr. Jordan, Baby's in the Big House and Last Chance to Mambo. A very versatile and talented band leader/guitarist. If you like blues, jump blues, rock and roll with a good dose of latin beats, I recommend you purchase his work.
