Good, Calm Read; Improved Translation,

This volume of the Lucky Star manga was an improvement over the first two volumes. The confusing, overly literal translating is no longer here, barring a few relatively minor blips. It manages to finally be what it was supposed to be from the beginning, a calm, soothing read with enough good comedy to keep you interested. This is not to say it's perfect, of course. The jokes can be a bit hit and miss, to say the least, depending on taste. Overall a good read, owing in large amount to improved localization.

The translation gets better as the series goes on, thankfully, or I wouldn't be able to give these great books the ratings they deserve. If you liked the anime and want more, or you just like anime and games in general and are looking for a laid-back read it's definitely worth picking up this series.
