This book will help you understand yourself better, which is the key to having better friendships, relationships, and life goals. If you want to know what is unique about you and what will make you happy and strong, then pick up this book."  -- Elizabeth Lesser, cofounder Omega Institute and New York Times best-selling author of The Seeker's Guide and Broken Open

Lucky Stars is destined to enlighten teens and adults of the 21st century about the connection between the twelve signs of the zodiac and their own lives." -Donna Cunningham, MSW, author of Moon Signs

Lucky Stars is a great way for teens and adults to get started with astrology. -- Christiane Northrup, M.D., New York Times best-selling author of Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom and Beautiful Girl

From the Author

We all have a lucky star. Your Sun sign is your own personal "lucky star." Although luck can be defined as something that happens by chance, I prefer the old saying, "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity." There is little that prepares you more for life's opportunities than knowing yourself. I hope this book helps you to create your own luck by using your star as a guide.

More About the Author

Amanda Owen is the author of "The Power of Receiving: A Revolutionary Approach to Giving Yourself the Life You Want and Deserve"(Tarcher/Penguin,2011)and "Born to Receive: 7 Powerful Steps Women Can Take Today to Reclaim Their Half of the Universe" (Tarcher/Penguin,March 6, 2014.)

With a background in social work and a twenty-five year practice as a counselor/coach, Amanda has been presenting lectures and workshops since the mid-eighties.

N.Y. Times best-selling author Christiane Northrup, MD calls Amanda's power-of-receiving philosophy "brilliant, elegant, profound, and enormously practical," Maria Shriver calls her work "insightful," and Elaine Shamos, the Director of The Women's Health Resource Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center says "Amanda's presentation skills are outstanding and, most importantly, her message is life-changing."

The best part about Lucky Stars is the way it is written. You can get right into the information and apply it instantanously. You can find out about yourself and your buddies without going through numerous words in chapters to find what you need to know. It is written for the young teens however, every beginner will be able to pick this up and enjoy learning from the first page. Many students of Astrology get turned off because the books are ever so complicated. This book gets you into not only the explanation of the Sun sign but also, what is important in friendships, career and home life. All the basic stuff of life. Easy reading, easy to understand and easy to apply.

Lucky Stars is such a good book for beginning astrologers as well as seasoned astrologers. You simply can't go wrong with the in-depth explanations and definitions, that you can use instantaneously. It is aimed at teenagers, but as I stated before what makes this platform possible for any reader is the 'easy-speak' she uses, so you aren't intimidated! You aren't scared of astrology with Amanda guiding the ship! Also this is a great gift, I myself have been interested in astrology forever, but I would definitley suggest giving it to a child aged 9 and up. I was left only with one question after reading: when does the sequel come out???

I have met Amanda and she is a lovely spirit who really knows Astrology. It is her passion, and she has exhibited this in her writing. We are coming upon a new age and the use of Astrology is going to become a very common subject for all of us to use as we make major life decisions. Teenagers are expressing more interest in the subject and Amanda's book is a well-written book that is easily understood, and provides a good foundation and beginning for the student of this very complicated science. Congrats to Amanda for a job well done!!! I will recommend this book to any teenager and also parent of teenagers as they begin their life's journey!!

Amanda Owen strikes at the heart of what Astrology is all about;
helping people find themselves. This friendly introduction gets
down beneath the surface enough for both beginners and long time
astrologers. You can feel the good energy in each page and she
makes you feel connected - not like she is talking about someone
else! We look forward to Amanda's next publication and want to'
thank her for a good well done.

Lucky Stars held my interest as it simply and in an entertaining fashion introduced the subject of astrology. I gained insights into my personality as I read about my Sun Sign, and, as a Leo, I am interested in me!
The book is suitable not only for young people but for adults who want to know how to use this important tool in their lives. The book left me wanting more. Write one just for adults, Amanda!

Whow!!! This book is truely amazing. Amanda has the ability to bring the sophisticated information about astrology to a level that anyone, old and young can understand. Her wisdom about how the heavens work and how they affect each of us throughout our entire lives is phenomenal. I love how she organizes our lifes's chart with special tips. Oh, how true they are. Reading this book is a must. Read and learn about who you really are according to your birth sign. You will recognize yourself as you read this fun and entertaining book. I have read many books about astrology, but this book makes the words come to life. You can count your "Lucky Stars" when you get your own copy of Amanda's book. Thank you Amanda for putting your gift in writing.

As an astrology student I think this boook should be a "must buy" for those who are interested in Astrology and are novice at it. It is a delightful, easy read, and a well organized compilation of specific facts pertaining to each sun sign. Amanda Owen encompasses how each sign "relates" to home life, friendship, career, and relationships in an amiable manner. I particularly liked her compatibility guide on each sun sign with another sun sign. She illustrates ths part of the book with directness and humor. The knowledge offered here to the younger student is infectious! You may want to know more about yourself and everyone else, because you just may "meet" them some day.
