For me Randall Fitzgerald's book has been the start of a wonderful and magical journey. Although I'm not particularly insecure, a chain of unhappy events led me to believe I wasn't worth being lucky.
Lucky You! has taught me to recognize and appreciate the magic in everyday life.
Lucky You! has taught me to use my intuition and pre-cog dreams.
Lucky You! has taught me to see the beauty of synchronicities.
But most of all, Lucky You! has taught me I'm worth being lucky!
Since I've read Lucky You! I've won small prizes in the lottery and other games, but luck has also come to me in other ways: it has guided me to chances and opportunities.
Let Lucky You! guide you too! It's a real page-turner, filled with interesting stories and anecdotes. Buy it! You won't regret it.

As the author of LUCKY YOU! may I take this opportunity to respond to comments made by several of the reviewers?!

Every author eventually discovers the hard way that publisher's have the final say over the title, subtitle, and backcover description of their book. That was certainly the case with me. The subtitle in particular, 'Proven Strategies For Finding Good Fortune,' bears no resemblance to my original title, but it is the representation the publisher had the legal right to impose.
To readers who feel the front and back cover misrepresent the contents of my book, please accept my apologies.

Having confessed this, I must take exception to some of the other comments, especially about its treatment of gambling. As I state in the book, games of chance are a metaphor for our lives. Every day we pull the lever of chance on our finances, our health, our safety, and our relationships. Gambling simply offers a short feedback loop between action and reward. With games of chance we can experiment at using our intuition to sense luck opportunities.It is a method for sharpening our skills in dealing with the challenges of life.

If I were writing this book again, more than two years after its completion, I would certainly place more emphasis on practical ways to enhance intuitive luck. This is an on-going consideration for me and has expanded since the book. The first section of the book has several repetitive gambling stories. Get the to the last half of the book, and that is where the real story is, and the real thought provoking ideas are developed.

This book exceeded all of my expectations!
I am not a gambler so that theme didn't interest me,
but once I understood that the author was using
games of chance as a metaphor for our lives, I started
getting how really useful this book is and how his
whole perspective is a strategy for finding good fortune.
The author reveals a lot about himself, his own streaks
of bad luck and good luck, and I could really relate his
experiences to my own life.
After finishing the book, I began to see -- and feel -- the
circumstances of my life in a way that has proven really
beneficial. I haven't won the lottery...okay, I broke down
and bought a ticket...but that isn't what is important about
this book. It's about understanding that life has patterns
and rhythms and these can be shaped and manipulated by
our intentions and our intuition.
I highly recommend this book if you want a life changing
experience!

This book is a fast, fun, and interesting read...I could not put it down. Fitzgerald took a subject close to my heart after 30 + years of personal experience and research and actually included information new to me! In a time when so many feel burdened with obligations in the world, I think this book gives people a great sense of hope and optimism about their lives.

I'm not going to give away the store by telling you about the content of this book, but I am going to say that it will give you an authentic perspective of the role of luck in your life. It is a great book. Our personal power is all about what is within our control. Giving it away to others or situations to save us is unproductive. So, I suggest you read Optimal Thinking-How To be Your Best Self along with this book to learn how to accept what is out of your control and OPTIMIZE anything and everything within your control.

This book delivered what it promised--real workable strategies for cultivating good fortune, especially in making money, related by truly lucky people. Whether you gamble in casinos, play the lottery,or invest in the stock market, this book tells how to use your intuition, your dreams, and coincidences to chart a path in life that increases your chances of being lucky. He also describes in depth the spiritual dimension of good fortune and how anyone can access it. This is an exciting book!

This terrific book, entertaining and informative, is a welcome antidote to those, like me, who were frustrated by Malcolm Gladwell's seemingly ubiquitous "Blink". Anyone familiar with Randall Fitzgerald's previous detailing of government waste knows he casts an "unblinking" eye on his more mainstream targets, and will appreciate his examination of intuition (luck). What many refer to as "soft", Fitzgerald reveals to be simply scientific, and explains, chapter by chapter, not only the fascinating experiences of others, but provides a path for the open-minded to really change there lives in the ways that matter most. Highly recommended.

I don't gamble, but I sure do enjoy having lady luck dance with me from time to time! This book is not just about games of chance. It's about how to access your intuition in ways you never imagined possible before. This book has helped me open to new ways of accessing information beyond my normal senses. For example, a dream I had resonated with a waking event to gave me an important clue that helped me follow my bliss. I began to understand that synchronicities are signposts along the road to luck. I had just read another excellent book by Randall Fitzgerald--"Mugged By The State"--and wanted to see what this perceptive, investigative journalist had to say about luck. And I wasn't disappointed. Fitzgerald did his homework, talking to scores of scientists and researchers about what luck really is. The end result is that the book takes "luck" out of the realm of the vague and iffy and puts it in the realm of the specific and the achievable, showing you exactly how to increase your own "chance" of reaching higher levels of prosperity, love, health and happiness. Plus, it's a really fun read, with lots of involving stories. Buying this book is good luck!
