I'm a huge Fiona Walker fan. She's on my top 5 authors list and I was thrilled to see a new book from her. "Lucy Talk" is a really cute and fun look into the world of Lucy Gordon, the very sweet and everyday gal from England. She's your average woman, with a so-so job, a wacky family, great friends and a boyfriend that treats her like dirt. Basic formula for a cute "chick lit" book. Right? Right. Here's the different ----- "Lucy Talk" is all written in email format/WORD doc. Monologue's. Some people haven't enjoyed this form of writing (seen in other current books) but I really think it moves a book along and makes it an easy and fun read.

I particularly loved the relationship between Lucy and her best girlfriends, Jane and Bella. I found myself really drawn to them and could see myself in their group.

I love Fiona's books - her characters - her stories and her all around creative tone. I think she's a real gem and "Lucy Talk" is a hidden treasure. Pick it up - perfect for those summer days on the beach!

This book is probably one of the best I have ever read. It's long, but by the end, you don't want to leave Lucy's world.

I loved this book. I would love to be best friends with Lucy. What a lovable character. I was sad when I finished the book. This is a book that could go on forever and never be dull. I highly recommend this book.

Lucy's talk is lovely. It is funny and bright. I read it when I was on holiday. One of my favorite Fiona Walker. The characters are well developed. The book is written from Lucy's viewpoint- she is writing in her diary but it is written in such a way that the book is a good read.

Lighter novel than French Relations. Written through short note style. Slow start, then couldn't put it down. Great escape. Fun characters.

Some of Fiona WALKERS books are really really good, others are mainstream/a little boring. This one falls into the latter. Lucy is very gulible and times frustrating. Her family are interesting. Her boyfriends a looser and her next door neighbour is nice. There are some good moments in this book but then it goes back to a little boring, overall though its readable and at times very enjoyable.
