You'll hum along,
By Starfire (KS, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ludo (Audio CD)
I was hanging out at a local concert venue, not impressed at all with the other bands, when Ludo took the stage. I was blown away. They're an awesome band, with a great sound and absolutely hilarious lyrics! You should definately buy their CD, it's great, and unlike other bands, who have one hit song and the rest of the CD is crap, every single Ludo song is worth listening to. No duds here! My favs are Saturday Night Thunderbolt and Good Will Hunting by Myself.

If you haven't bought it YOUR MISSING OUT,
By Jesse McGill "The-Leech-Who-Gave-Back" (Sacramento, Ca) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ludo (Audio CD)
Names Jesse, I saw them in california at the rumble invasion tour in san mateo Oct. 23rd. I'm not kidding you I was hooked when I saw them perform. They played later that night at Santa Clara University and they again rocked, there cd is just awsome, something I diffently listen to over and over and over again. I brough my sister with me so she can be blessed with experiencing the sounds of Ludo, and she was rockin out with me watchin them perform, and now she's hooked like I am. They also played again Oct. 26th in Sacramento at the boardwalk playin with Lucky Boy's Confusion, and since it was a small venue and good charlotte was playin that same night not very many people showed, but those that did when they watched Ludo play they were all hooked. I'm not kidding when you get this cd you will be glad you did, it's diffenetly well spent money. Anyway, The-Leech-Who-Gave-Back is outta here. I hope you enjoy your purchase, cause I know you will.

best cd ive puchased all year,
By joey (Waukesha, wi) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ludo (Audio CD)
i saw ludo when they played with Lucky Boys Confusion at a little bar in Madison, Wi. Now i admit i was really only there to see LBC but much to my surprise ludo turned out to be more than a delight to see, imagaine a lethal combination of a weezer and blink. There range is really good with upbeat songs like Roxy, Goodwill Hunting By My Self, and Girls On Trampolines, all the way to mellow songs like Ode to Kevin Arnold, Hum Along, and Laundry Girl. whats even better about this band is the clever yet hilarious and never boring lyrics that leave you laughing your ass off. I highly recomend this cd and i garantee you wont be dissappointed.

Never A Dull Moment,
By Elyse (Kansas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ludo (Audio CD)
I've seen Ludo a good many times live now and I'm NEVER disappointed at the raw energy they display and find it's better than the cd, but the cd is full of original quirky lyrics that define Andrew Volpe's true personality. You'll never find more fun lyrics than "there's a metric ton of easy mac in my soul" among many others...Once you listen to their cd a few times you'll know if it's right for you, but see them ONCE live and you'll be hooked for life. Ludo's next cd is sure to be just as exciting and pure. It took me about 5 seconds of hearing them perform Saturday Night Thunderbolt during a soundcheck and I already wanted their cd...and I'm not the only one with a story like that. Ludo is worth it.

Can't believe these guys aren't bigger,
This review is from: Ludo (Audio CD)
A friend introduced me to Ludo a little over a year ago and I've been a fan ever since. "Ode to Kevin Arnold" is a true classic. Grooves are infectious and just genuinely fun.
The little known facts section of the band's official webpage is also priceless. Do yourself a favor and check that out.

My second favorite Ludo album,
This review is from: Ludo (Audio CD)
I got into Ludo with the song "Lake Ponchartrain", then I found the self-titled album and You're awful, I Love You. These are both fantastic albums. If you've never heard Ludo and want a broad generalization of their early style - think early Weezer with funkier/funnier lyrics. Oh, and if you ever get the chance to see these guys live... GO! It will rock your socks off.

Best Band No One Ever Heard Of,

I went to see Tally Hall play in Michigan (another great unknown band) and Ludo opened for them. I was blown away and immediately bought both of their CDs and now have their newest one.
Their music is imminently singalongable -- great playing, terrific vocals, clever lyrics. Get all 3 of their CDs TODAY!

Good Will Hunting Rocks!,

OK to be honest, I had never heard of Ludo until I saw them open for The Presidents at House of Blues in Anaheim a couple of weeks ago. They ROCKED!! So I decided to buy a copy of their album, I was not disappointed.
Their quirky lyrics over the heavy ska/punk instrumentals makes for a great combination, and Ludo has quickly taken their position as a most played on my MP3 player. Great songs, lots of fun, mounds of attitude, and `I can watch Good Will Hunting by myself!'

The tree looks fine, and the driver's clean...,

I first heard Ludo's Broken Bride(part 1) on 105.7 The Point's local show here in St. Louis, and I was impressed, because unlike most of the local show, this was GOOD.
It wasn't long before I found them on scene site http://www.stlpunk.com, learned of their Christmas Show at The Pageant, and bought my tickets. The bands opening for them were decent, but Ludo completely blew me away. Definately the best show I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot, considering this is not a big-label mainstream band. My favorites include Girls on Trampoline(great to see live), Roxy, and Hum Along, but the whole CD is fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the album for me as a christmas gift, and it is one of my favorite CDs. Go ahead and pick this one up, you'll enjoy it, I promise. Also, pick up the Broken Bride album if you can, very different sound but still amazing.

Ludo Rocks!,

I first heard Ludo from my girlfriend. Not actually this album, but their newest release Broken Bride (which, by the way, is an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE). I actually heard this album for the first time on my way to see them live at the Pageant in their hometown St. Louis. I had the pleasure to meet every member of the band and they are all the nicest, most down to earth guys I've ever met. This album is start-to-finish one of the best albums I've ever heard (second to Broken Bride), and Ludo is quickly becoming one of my favorite new bands. They won't be playing small venues for long, so if you have a chance to see them, DO IT SOON!!! Because before you know it they are going to be HUGE!!!!!!! Thank you Andrew, Tim, Tim, Marshall, & Matt for 'setting the standard' when it comes to great new music. Proud to be a fan!!! Oh, and my fave songs? Roxy, Hum Along, Girls on Trampolines, Good Will Hunting By Myself, Saturday Night Thunderbolt, Hello My Name is your TV, Laundry Girl, Ode to Kevin Arnold, Summertime, Sara's Song & Air-Conditioned Love. Oh Wait that's all of them, isn't it????? Yesss!!!!! LUDO ROCKS!!!!!!!!
