This is the only place, except for ebay, I have been able to find an inside folding ruler. It's nice to know that there are some remains from "old school" wood workers.

The Lufkin 066F 6-(FOOT)FLAT READ WOOD FOLDING RULE, is a wonderful measuring device. It, like other flat, folding rules, will not bend, as metal-extention rules will. It is easily carried, and easily stored.

My dad had one of these. Unfortunately, my sister and I -- both under 10 years of age at the time -- not realizing it WAS, in fact, a TOOL, got a hold of it, and turned it into a TOY! We bent the ruler into a hexagagon shape, and turned it into a headpiece of sorts. We bent it into one small piece and one long piece, and turned it into a pretend fishing rod. We turned it into a shorter piece, resembling a "crook and flail", and pretended we were Egyptian queens! We bent it forward and back, inward and out, back and forth, into smaller and larger parts. Until...................you guessed it, the hinges broke, and we had two short pieces, instead of one long 6 foot hinged ruler!

So, my advice is: if you have creative chidren -- either girls or boys -- around the house, put this Folding Rule(r), AWAY, where they cannot get at it. Or....buy them their own!

Strong and reliable. I like that as you fold / unfold each section they 'snap' into place. I have used other folding wooden rules that as they get older tend to 'flop around', this model is much better.

numbers are not reversed on one side to the other (so you have to always unfold the same way - can just flip it around) - also pinches fingers when you close it (very snappy).

I ordered a 066F rule from Amazon.com thinking I would get good quality, same sized rule I have used for over 50 years. When I open the box and saw the rule I could tell it was not the same. The problem I have with the rule is the thickness of the wood. Each blade is about .030 thicker than the old standard which makes the rule about 5/16" wider overall. The length of the rule when folded is also about ½" longer. The feel this new 066F rule is not confortable in your hand because of the added blade thickness plus the overall appearance looks cheap. I have been a long time user of Lufkin rules but I'm extremely disappointed in the new 066F rule.

This stick rule made by Lufkin is the pipefitters standard rule! I've used these for over 40 years, there are no others like it and never will be !!!

Hard to find this type that is an "inside read" in stores. My husband was a little disappointed that it is slightly larger than his old ones - 1/4" wider and 1/4" longer. Guess that makes a difference to someone carrying it around in a pocket. Otherwise, great.

It's really hard to find an inside read ruler so i was happy to find this at a good price, no frills just a good rule.

I've been searching for a wooden 'inside' rule for a long time. I finally found exactly what I've been looking for on Amazon.com

I am a pipe-fitter and trying to find this in a store is becoming impossible, so glad to find this!!1
