These are fantastic poems written as a way to bridge the distance between a mother and daughter living on separate continents. The reader is allowed into this correspondence in a way that is generous and fascinating--and by the end of the book is sharing these two worlds with the writers as they puzzle over issues of motherhood and place.

Very highly recommended.

This is a lovely book of poetry which features a mother and daughter writing poetry on two different continents as a means of communication with each other and is a wonderful exchange of and expression of emotion. The free verse poems are lyrical and filled with beautiful imagery. They are powerful and filled with a love of life and for each other that is palpable. If you enjoy poetry, it is a must-read and, if you don't, this may begin a love affair with poetry for you.
